Fantasy Football Outlooks: Malik Nabers, Brandin Cooks, Noah Fant Injury Updates for Week 12

Malik Nabers - Fantasy Football Rankings, WR, Waiver Wire, NFL DFS, Rookies

Fantasy football outlooks for Malik Nabers, Brandin Cooks, Noah Fant - injury updates for Week 12. Are Malik Nabers, Brandin Cooks, Noah Fant playing this week?

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (groin), Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks (knee), and Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (groin) are three fantasy-relevant players dealing with injuries that could threaten their availabilities for their games in Week 12.

While they've had strikingly different seasons up to this point, it's getting close to the fantasy football playoffs, and with injuries piling up across the league, it's vital to have the latest information to make good start/sit decisions. You have to do anything you can to get an edge at this point.

Let's break down the ailments affecting these three players, how good their chances of taking the field are, and what their fantasy football outlooks are like going forward.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Malik Nabers, WR, New York Giants

Nabers is dealing with a groin injury currently. It's an issue he's dealt with previously, but he didn't miss any games because of it. It could limit his effectiveness in the game, but the bigger question is how well new starting quarterback Tommy Devito can play.

Leek plans to take the field. The hope is that DeVito plans to get him the ball early and often. We know the rookie wideout is an elite player. He will get open. The rest isn't up to him. He should be started in all PPR leagues because he's a stud player. It's pretty simple.

Brandin Cooks, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Cooks dealt with an infection in his knee that required surgery, and he's now missed six consecutive games due to this ailment. The Cowboys had a bye week in Week 7, so he's had seven total weeks to rest now. He logged limited practices each day of the week.

He's officially listed as "Questionable" on Dallas' injury report heading into Sunday. He remains on injured reserve and will have to be elevated to the active roster by Saturday if he's to play in Week 12. But you shouldn't start him. His QB1, Dak Prescott (hamstring) is out for the season.

QB Cooper Rush, the backup who's slated to start, hasn't been very effective. Cooks is now 31, coming off an injury, and will have to deal with poor quarterback play. He isn't worth rostering in most leagues. Much of his 2023 production came in blowout games when Dallas was simply running up the score.

Noah Fant, TE, Seattle Seahawks

Fant (groin) has now missed two games and had three weeks of rest due to the Seahawks' bye week in Week 10. Seattle head coach Mike MacDonald said he's "optimistic" Fant will be able to Sunday, but it's not set in stone yet.

Fant hasn't been particularly fantasy-relevant this season. He's at least had three games of double-digit PPR points scored this season, though. In very deep TE-premium leagues he's a decent option, but should be benched or left on waivers in the rest.
