David Montgomery start or sit Week 11 advice. Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 11 (2024). Should I start or sit David Montgomery for fantasy football?
BALLER MOVE: Start
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery had a bad game in Week 10 against the Houston Texans, by his standards at least. He carried the ball 12 times for 32 yards, averaging just under 2.7 yards per carry, and scored a rushing touchdown. He also caught one of two targets for 24 yards and fumbled once.

But he was playing against an extremely tough run defense in the Houston Texans, and his quarterback turned the ball over FIVE times. The offense as a whole could've done much better were it not for QB Jared Goff's goofs. Goof (whoops, typo, Goff) shouldn't have many more games playing that poorly.
Especially not in Week 11. Detroit will face a 2-8 Jacksonville Jaguars team that won't have its starting quarterback and already has one of the worst overall defenses in the league. It would be miraculous if they slowed down the Lions much. And we should expect a heavy dose of running from the Motor City team.
Monty should still be started every week. The touchdown upside in his offense is massive, and he has an extremely favorable matchup.
