Fantasy Football Injury Reports For Week 11 (Thursday Updates): Nico Collins, Christian McCaffrey, Kirk Cousins, Sam LaPorta and more

Christian McCaffrey - Fantasy Football Rankings, DFS and Betting Picks, NFL Injury News

Fantasy football injury updates and injury reports for RB, WR, TE, QB for Week 11 (2024), as of 11/14. Read the latest updates for Week 11 of the 2024 season.

It's Week 11, and the injuries never stop piling up in the NFL. However, compared to previous weeks, this one hasn't been quite as bad. We haven't seen a litany of awful season-ending injuries or receivers dropping like flies (fingers crossed).

Still, there are a variety of players ranging from solid FLEX players to fantasy superstars who have been dealing with their own ailments, and it's important to stay informed so you can make the best decisions picking up players in free agency, making trades, and choosing who to start.

So who are some of the biggest names suffering from injuries right now, and what are they dealing with?

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Nico Collins Injury Update

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) was reportedly fully healthy and ready to go in Week 10, but was held out of the game due to an abundance of caution by the team's staff. It's certainly an odd situation, and fantasy managers are decidedly not pleased, but the team is fully dependent on him to have a good offense.

The offense has simply not been the same without Collins, which is obvious to anyone who's watched Houston play since he went down. Quarterback C.J. Stroud has played shakily in his absence as well. He's reportedly good to go for Week 11.

Christian McCaffrey Injury Update

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) finally played in his first game in Week 10 this season. He was able to handle a bellcow workload, carrying the ball 13 times for 39 yards and catching six of seven targets for 68 yards. He reportedly didn't suffer a setback with his initial injury, but it makes sense for the 49ers to limit his practice work.

Because his injury, Achilles tendonitis, only heals with rest, it wouldn't make much sense to put him through tough practices every week and risk more strain on his tendons. Instead, he may practice in a limited fashion for the foreseeable future, if not the remainder of the season. Fantasy managers shouldn't be worried unless news of a re-aggravation surfaces.

Kirk Cousins Injury Update

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins (shoulder/elb0w) popped up on the injury report on Wednesday, and was limited at practice as a result. Despite this, there are no indications that the injuries are long-term issues or that he will be held out of his next game. These could be due to soreness or simply load-management by the team.

Unless some other issue arises, fantasy managers should expect for the former Minnesota Viking to take the field in Week 11, when his team will face the Denver Broncos. He'll then have a bye week in Week 12 to rest up even more.

Sam LaPorta Injury Update

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta (shoulder) picked up an AC joint sprain in his shoulder in his team's win over the Houston Texans in Week 10, and did not practice on Wednesday as a result. It's not known yet whether he'll play in Week 10, but Lions head coach Dan Campbell indicated that the injury wasn't serious.

Campbell described his issue as "day-to-day", likely meaning there's a solid chance he could play this week. Fantasy managers who have LaPorta on their rosters will need to stay updated on the situation, and he could end up as a game-time decision on Sunday.

Aaron Jones Injury Update

Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones (ribs) logged a limited practice session on Wednesday. He took a shot to his ribs in Week 10, and was pulled from the game for X-rays, but they came back clean. He returned to the game in the fourth quarter and finished playing.

The situation was likely scary for fantasy managers, but there's no reason to worry for now. It wouldn't be surprising if he was limited at practice at numerous points for the remainder of the season. He's 29 years old, and he needs all the rest he can get. RB is a brutal position to play. Expect him to be available to play in Week 11.

Amari Cooper, Keon Coleman Injury Update

Buffalo Bills wide receivers Amari Cooper (wrist) and Keon Coleman (wrist) are both dealing with wrist injuries, and neither were able to take the field in Week 10. Cooper's been dealing with his injury for a bit longer, as he also missed the team's Week 9 contest. There currently aren't clear timetables for the returns of either.

The exact details of neither of their injuries are known. This is another situation that fantasy managers will have to stay updated on. If either can log a full practice ahead of Sunday's game, they'll have a much better chance at playing.

Trevor Lawrence, Tank Bigsby Injury Update

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) has an injury to his non-throwing shoulder, but has already been ruled out of his Week 11 game against the Detroit Lions. Lawrence will now miss his second consecutive game. He picked up the injury in Week 9.

There have been rumblings of TLaw potentially being shut down for the season, and while nothing has been confirmed yet, it's unlikely that backup QB Mac Jones will lead the team to victory over the team with the best record in the NFC. Detroit has been on a heater this season. If JAX loses again, they'll be 2-9 with almost zero chance of making the playoffs.

In that case, Lawrence could be held out for the remainder of the year. Meanwhile, his teammate, running back Tank Bigsby, entered Week 10's game with an ankle injury, and reinjured it, forcing him to exit the contest.

He didn't practice on Wednesday, and his status for the game is in question. Considering the situation, it's probably safe to assume that he won't suit up for Week 11. The Jags have no reason to rush him back.

Josh Jacobs Injury Update

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (quad) was limited in practice on Wednesday with a quad injury. There are no indications that it's serious. He may continue to log limited sessions, as he's a veteran and handling a big rushing workload as the lead back.

For now, there's no reason fantasy managers should worry. He should be able to play in Week 11. He has a long injury of great toughness, battling through a multitude of injuries in his career.
