Chase Brown fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 9 (2024). Should you start or sit Chase Brown for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown appears to have taken over the backfield from fellow RB Zack Moss, but he wasn't effective against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8, though he did score a rushing touchdown to salvage his day. Luckily, he gets a much easier matchup in Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Bengals are improved as a run-blocking unit over last season, and Brown has excellent speed and acceleration, so the gaps they've opened up have allowed for explosive plays. Of course, there weren't many of those to be had against Philly, but the Raiders have allowed the tenth-most PPR fantasy points per game to opposing running backs this season.
It's a team that Cincinnati shouldn't have much issue running it on. In addition, LV has a lack of offensive playmakers, given their poor quarterback play and loss of their WR1 to a trade. This could lead to a positive game script in which the Bengals are able to run the ball often, killing the clock and giving No. 30 a heavy workload.
This should be one of the easier matchups of the year for the second-year pro. He should be started as an RB2.
