JuJu Smith-Schuster is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for wide receivers. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) didn't play in Week 8, and while the signing of WR DeAndre Hopkins may dissuade people from keeping Smith-Schuster on their roster, it's not a good idea to drop him. In fact, he should still be added in PPR leagues, at least.

Hopkins did not take the slot role held by Rashee Rice before his injury. That role is incredibly valuable for fantasy football because it features a ton of playing time, targets, and easy receptions, as we saw when the former Steeler put up 130 yards on seven catches in Week 5.
If No. 9 is dropped in your leagues, he's worth picking up. He should be a "Rice-lite" of sorts when he gets healthy again. The other receivers play in too much of a rotation, limiting their snaps and opportunities to be consistent fantasy contributors. Stash him for as long as you need to -- he's an easy WR3/FLEX with WR2 upside when he returns.
