Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen stopped 25 of the 26 shots he faced en route to earning his first victory of the 2024 season. Andersen fell behind early after allowing the first goal of the game to Pittsburgh left wing Drew O'Connor. However, during the final two periods, the 35-year-old was able to shut the door to secure the victory. In his first start of the season, the veteran allowed two goals on 21 shots in a loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Andersen played in only 16 games last season but held a strong .932 SV% and 1.84 GAA with a 13-2 record. Fantasy managers should expect the veteran to split time in the crease with Pyotr Kochetkov but remain a valuable fantasy asset given the strong Carolina defense.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
