Rachaad White has had an up-and-down season and has seen his share of the Buccaneers offense drop as rookie Bucky Irving is trending up.

Should I Drop Rachaad White in Fantasy Football?

On Thursday night against the Falcons, Buccaneers running back Rachaad White finished with a season-high 72 rushing yards on 10 carries. It was his first game with 50 or more yards.

White averaged 58.2 rushing yards per game in 2023, but he is averaging just 37.4 this season as Irving has cut into his touches.

Still, White has double-digit carries in four of five games and just had his best rushing performance of 2024. He's definitely just a matchup-based play in fantasy leagues, but that doesn't mean fantasy managers need to drop White.

Go ahead and hold on to the Buccaneers running back for now.

Who Should I Pickup in Week 6 Fantasy Football?

You don't need to drop White, but it's never a bad idea to look for help on the waiver wire at running back.

One spot you could look at is White's teammate, Buccaneers rookie running back Bucky Irving. Irving has nine or more carries in four of the five games so far and has essentially made this a 50-50 backfield. With Irving trending up, there's a chance he will quickly become the No. 1 option in Tampa.
