Chicago Cubs third base prospect Cam Smith is getting promoted to High-A South Bend after just 14 games at Single-A Myrtle Beach. The Cubs' first-round selection in this year's draft started off 4-for-26 (.154) over his first eight games, but since then he's gone 11-for-21 (.524), homering in an astonishing six consecutive games, driving in 11 runs, and producing a 4:2 BB:K. The Cubs' eighth-ranked prospect has an MLB debut ETA of 2026 per MLB.com and the 21-year-old certainly has the talent to make that a reality.
