Tyler Nevin is a fantasy baseball waiver wire pickup for Week 7 (2024). Target Tyler Nevin as a top free-agent add for home runs and average for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 34% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Through 26 games in 2024, Tyler Nevin has already set a new career high in home runs with four. The 26-year-old is on pace to set new career highs in numerous other categories as well as he's never surpassed more than 184 MLB plate appearances before in a single season but is already up to 92 PA thus far. The former 38th overall draft pick's versatility enables Oakland to get his bat in the lineup multiple ways, having manned third base, first base, left field, right field, and designated hitter for the A's already this season.
Nevin's hitless game on Friday ended a nine-game hit streak that he had going. All four of his home runs came during that span, and the right-handed hitter also had five multi-hit games in that stretch. His current .313 batting average is supported by a career low 20.7% K% and better-than-league-average 78.8% Contact%. A Barrel% of 7.7% and HardHit% of 40.0% indicate that he should be able to continue to hit for power.

With the A's moving Nevin around to get his bet in the lineup, the super-utility man is eligible at 1B, 3B, and OF on Yahoo which provides managers with flexibility to plug offensive holes due to days off and injury. Nevin is available in nearly 70% of leagues, so if you're in need of a solid bench bat, there's a good chance you can grab him in your league.

Chandler Simpson - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ team leagues CALL-UP ETA: July ANALYSIS: Unlike many players currently in the minor leagues, Chandler Simpson has proven he can be a valuable fantasy player at the MLB level. In his time in the majors, he hit .285 with 19 stolen bases in 35 games. Unfortunately, being a valuable fantasy player […]

Brady House - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team leagues CALL-UP ETA: June ANALYSIS: The Nationals went viral on social media this week for making a fun call-up. They called up their bat dog from Triple-A. While this was very cute and should improve the vibes a little bit in Washington, I don't think Bruce the Bat Dog will help […]

Samuel Basallo - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team leagues CALL-UP ETA: June ANALYSIS: Samuel Basallo might be the best hitter in the minors right now, and he has catcher eligibility. What more do you need to know (I know catcher is super deep this year, but still)? Basallo has been an age-to-level monster for the majority of his pro […]

Andrew Painter - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team leagues CALL-UP ETA: June ANALYSIS: Painter's last two starts don't give a ton of confidence that he is ready to be in the majors. It may not even be before the All-Star break before we see him, but that does not mean we are in stash territory. The good news is, […]

Colby Thomas - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ team leagues CALL-UP ETA: July ANALYSIS: The A's continue to lose, and Colby Thomas continues to hit homers in Triple-A. The A's just got swept by the Angels, bringing their record to 26-44. While plays like Denzel Clarke's HR robbery can generate a spark for a team, the A's might need […]
