NBA DFS Prop Picks for PrizePicks: Wednesday, March 20

Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers

The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power or flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people; you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER,' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, March 20.

Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks

Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day, as other props may be added during the day.

Cade Cunningham OVER 7.5 Assists - Although depending on the Detroit Pistons might as well come with a warning label, playing the Indiana Pacers hyperpaced offense theoretically injects a booster into the struggling Monty Williams-coached squad. Second in pace and third in offensive rating, the Pacers involuntarily supplement teams needing a scoring burst. Coming into Wednesday's matchup between the Pistons and the Pacers, Cunningham averaged 8.4 assists in his last five outings.

Thankfully, for potential bettors of the over on Cunningham's 7.5 ASTS line and the Pistons, the Pacers rank 25th in defensive rating. While most teams would dispose of Pistons, Indiana will make it close enough for Cunningham to cover the over on 7.5 ASTS.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander UNDER 1.5 3-PT Made - When Shai Gilgeous-Alexander solemnly stated his "whole life is consistent," regardless of the corniness of speaking in Instagram captions, basketball-wise, he's not lying. One of the relics in the modern NBA, especially in the "Stephen Curry ruined the game" era, Gilgeous-Alexander consistently proves he's one of the best scorers in the league without depending on the three-point shot.

Despite converting five rare 3-PT shots against the Memphis Grizzlies on March 10, Gilgeous-Alexander has averaged two conversions on such shots in the past five games. The Oklahoma City Thunder will face the Utah Jazz on Wednesday. No one on the Jazz has any answer for Gilgeous-Alexander's cat-like, shape-shifting movements, which leads me to believe he'll dominate the paint, essentially ignoring the 3-PT line.

Take the under on 1.5 3-PT shots made for Gilgeous-Alexander.

Kawhi Leonard UNDER 2.5 Blocks+Steals - Typically, I wouldn't bet the under on anything regarding blocks or steals with Kawhi Leonard as the prop focus. However, due to playing a weaker team in the Portland Trail Blazers, the Los Angeles Clippers star has room to breathe and likely won't need to muster elite defensive plays to beat such a team. Over Leonard's previous five outings, the two-time NBA champion averaged 1.4 combined BLKS and STLS.

Combining the Clippers' infamously slower motor with the lottery-bound Trail Blazers makes for a recipe for Leonard to cover the under on 2.5 combined BLKS and STLS.

James Harden OVER 8.5 Assists - While Leonard is the straw that stirs the expensive drink of the Clippers roster, James Harden's play-making ability theoretically makes it easier for the Los Angeles big three to score. Harden is unlike any player on the Clippers. As the previous three seasons displayed, Harden will get his.

Unlike Leonard, Harden will accumulate regular-season numbers regardless of the opponent or situation. Harden is in a contract season, so the beefier the stats, the better. I envision Harden taking over against Portland, earning a double-double, and covering the 8.5 ASTS line in the process.
