DISCLOSURE: Make sure to monitor the NHL news feeds for the latest player status and injury news.

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks

Joonas Korpisalo - DK $7.4K || FD $6.8K

Opponent - Pittsburgh Penguins

This could be a ‘risky’ play in the eyes of many, however, it is too hard to pass up. In the last 10 away games for the Penguins, they were outscored 15 to 26 and expected starter Joonas Korpisalo seems to have found his game. In his last five starts, he has a 0-2-2 record with a 3.2 Goals Against Average and a 0.89 Save Percentage. However, in that same time frame, the netminder sits just outside of the top 10 in Goals Saved Above Expected Per 60 with a 0.64. The Penguins are reeling in form. Add in that they are playing away, and this is the perfect matchup. Furthermore, the visitors are also the top team in Shots Per Goal Per 60, providing the top floor for salary.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):

  • Luukkonen (DK $7.8K || FD $8.4K)
  • Shesterkin (DK $7.2K || FD $8.1K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks

Tage Thompson - DK $6.8K || FD $6.8K

Opponent - Detroit Red Wings

The Detroit Red Wings are back to playing awful hockey, sitting in the bottom 10 in all meaningful metrics against. Most importantly, they are in the bottom five in both Scoring Chances Against Per 60 and High Danger Chances Against Per 60, but yet they are just inside the bottom 10 in Goals Against Per 60. This screams that their goaltending is carrying the team. If Tage Thompson and company can break expected starter Alex Lyon early, a big game could be on the horizon. In Thompson’s most recent five games, he has two goals, 15 shots, and five blocked shots.

Connor Bedard- DK $6.7K || FD $7.2K

Opponent - Anaheim Ducks

Bedard is playing possessed right now. Whether it is multiple points a game or dazzling puck skills, the center is showing a glimpse of what Chicago fans have to look forward to over the years to come. Throughout the rookie’s last five games, he has two goals, four assists, 19 shots, and 2 blocked shots. Although his uptick in sudden production is noteworthy, so is his strength of schedule in that window and the Anaheim Ducks will extend that schedule. Like the aforementioned Detroit Red Wings, the Ducks are in the bottom five in all metrics against, besides Goals Against Per 60. Bedard will need to break open expected starter John Gibson early, otherwise his chances of scoring will drop once the goaltender gets dialed in.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Couturier (DK $4.5K || FD $5.5K)
  • Mittelstadt (DK $3.4K || FD $5.5K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks

Philipp Kurashev - DK $4.2K || FD $4.6K

Opponent - Anaheim Ducks

Another Chicago Blackhawk who has taken advantage of a friendly schedule is winger Philipp Kurashev. Kurashev is the right wing on Connor Bedard’s line and continues to reap the rewards of playing with such a skilled player. Throughout the winger’s most recent five outings, he has two goals, two assists, 11 shots, and four blocked shots. In yet another prime matchup, Kurashev is expected at a minimum to get one point and two shots.

Michael Bunting - DK $3.8K || FD $4.7K

Opponent - Ottawa Senators

Bunting has looked relatively successful in his first two games with his new team, the Pittsburgh Penguins, despite their inefficiencies and lack of overall team success. The winger, in his first season away from Toronto, saw a dramatic drop off in his teammates’ skillsets before the trade deadline, despite playing with the likes of Sebastian Aho and Martin Necas. With that came a heavy decrease in offensive production. However, now that he is a full-fledged winger on Sidney Crosby’s line, perhaps his production could see a dramatic uptick. Going for under $4K on DraftKings against an inconsistent Ottawa Senators defense, the risk is worth the price.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Konecny (DK $6.7K || FD $7.7K)
  • Boldy (DK $6.5K || FD $7.6K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks

Bowen Byram - DK $3.4K || FD $4.3K

Opponent - Detroit Red Wings

Other than having to tell and guide teammates where to go on the ice, Bowen Byram seems to be enjoying his time with his new team, the Buffalo Sabres. In his two games thus far, since being traded for Casey Mittlestadt, Byram has one goal, one assist, seven shots, and one blocked shot. The best part about Byram’s move to Buffalo is that he co-quarterbacks the top power-play unit with new teammate Rasmus Dahlin. In a ‘good’ matchup tonight at home against Detroit, Byram could easily surpass his value.

Olen Zellweger - DK $3.2K || FD $K

Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks

The Anaheim Ducks seem to be going ‘all-in’ on tank mode for unanimous first-overall Macklin Celebrini. They are running a very young blueline with the likes of Pavel Mintyukov and Olen Zellweger and they are both now co-quarterbacking the top power-play unit with veterans like Cam Fowler taking the backseat. As one of the top defensive prospects in the entire league, Zellweger has yet to live up to the hype, with teammate Pavel Mintyukov blowing past him. In the former’s most recent five appearances, he has one assist, five shots, and seven blocked shots. Over his nine games in the NHL, he has two assists, 11 shots, and 12 blocked shots. Sitting barely above minimum pricing on DraftKings, you are getting what you pay for. However, in a prime matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks, there is hope for a sudden spike in production. With plenty of big names to pay for tonight, Zellweger is the ultimate ‘punt’ play.
