CBB DFS: DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (2/8/24)

Oumar Ballo - College Basketball Rankings, NCAA CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Today's DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 2/8/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

We have a nicely balanced seven-game slate on DraftKings tonight. It's Pac-12 heavy with some friends from the AAC and the Big Ten getting in on the action. We have a nice collection here, so let's get started!

We begin in State College with Iowa in town. Memphis heads to Philly to take on Temple. Arizona State heads to Boulder to take on Colorado. Arizona is also in the mountains one state away to take on the Utes. Florida Atlantic heads to Birmingham to take on UAB. We end on the left coast with Washington Duck hunting in Eugene and the Cougars on the prowl in Corvallis.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/8/24, starting at 7 p.m. EST. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

KJ Simpson, Colorado ($9,000)

Simpson has at least 40 DraftKings points in three straight and four of the last five games. He scored 25 in back-to-back games against Washington State and Utah -- both on the road. Simpson has also pulled down at least seven rebounds in four straight games, which is a big reason why he's hunting 40s. Simpson played the entire game against the Sun Devils in Tempe and put up 35.25 DraftKings points. He is poised for another big night.

Eric Gaines, UAB ($7,000)

FAU is a tough defensive team, but is Gaines really going to go 5-of-16 from the floor again and not make a shot from three-point range? That's what happened in the first meeting with FAU. Okay, maybe he will. Gaines isn't a great shooter, but his shooting percentage since that game is 38.7%. That's markedly better than 5-of-16 (31.3%). What was the downfall in that game for Gaines was the lack of assists, and that's not always his fault. Gaines is averaging 30.9 DraftKings points per game since the meeting with FAU. I think we can expect a little better outing than the first time around.

KJ Lewis, Arizona ($5,200)

The freshman had looked good in blowouts for much of the season, but Lewis has started to play more meaningful minutes in close games as well. He scored 12 points in 26 minutes against Stanford in a game that was only decided by 11 points. Lewis has played at least 16 minutes in each of the last five games and has at least 16 DraftKings points in four of those. He even topped the 20 mark three times, including the last two outings. Lewis didn't take a single shot in 16 minutes in the first meeting against Utah. There's zero chance that will happen again tonight.

D'Marco Dunn, Penn State ($4,800)

That's back-to-back strong performances from Dunn while Nick Kern Jr. continues to struggle. Dunn has played 50 minutes over the last two games, scoring 24 points to go with 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and a block. Iowa struggles against guards anyway. I would expect Dunn to keep getting strong minutes as long as he continues to play at this level.

Also consider: Johnell Davis, Florida Atlantic ($8,600); Tony Perkins, Iowa ($8,500); Myles Rice, Washington State ($7,800); Jordan Riley, Temple ($6,700); Jose Perez, Arizona State ($6,000); Kylan Boswell, Arizona ($5,600); Bryan Greenlee, Florida Atlantic ($5,400); Efrem Johnson, UAB ($5,000); Dexter Akanno, Oregon State ($4,600); Jalen Gaffney, Florida Atlantic ($4,300)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

David Jones, Memphis ($9,200)

Memphis's conference season has mostly been a shell game of teams trying to stop David Jones. It hasn't worked yet, so why would it tonight? Tulsa is the only team to hold Jones under 30 DraftKings points since Virginia did it on Thanksgiving. Jones has a high floor and has topped 50 DraftKings points twice in the last four games. He can be used with confidence in any format.

Isaac Jones, Washington State ($8,100)

Jones only took three shots the entire game in 26 minutes against the Beavers the first time around. The coaches asked him to be more assertive on offense and he has responded. He has only taken less than 10 shots twice since that first Oregon State game on January 4. The Cougars lost both games. Aside from those two games, Jones has at least 30 DraftKings points in every other game since. He has even posted two double-doubles in the last three games. A different Jones has meant a different Cougars team.

Malcolm Dandridge, Memphis ($6,400)

UAB got destroyed in the middle by both Jones and Dandridge in that first meeting. Jones topped 50 DraftKings points and Dandridge put up 33.75 DraftKings points on 8-of-11 shooting. Dandridge is an elite rim protector and strong rebounder along with his efficient scoring. He has scored in double figures in four straight games now. Make it five. He's going to feast on the Blazers again tonight.

Motiejus Krivas, Arizona ($4,400)

Krivas has been a spark plug off the bench for the Wildcats. He's an efficient scorer and is strong on the boards. He has collected 20 rebounds in just 54 minutes over the last four games. He doesn't play a lot, so there is risk here. However, he posted seven rebounds in just 15 minutes against Utah in the first meeting. He's a solid but unspectacular value play.

Also consider: Keion Brooks Jr., Washington ($8,400); N'Faly Dante, Oregon ($8,200); Oumar Ballo, Arizona ($7,900); Tristan Da Silva, Colorado ($7,100); Jaylen Wells, Washington State ($6,800); Qudus Wahab, Penn State ($6,600); Nae'Qwan Tomlin, Memphis ($6,300); Andrej Jakimovski, Washington State ($6,100); Moses Wood, Washington ($5,900); Lawson Lovering, Utah ($4,200)
