The Washington Commanders hired Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as their next head coach on Thursday, according to league sources. Quinn and Washington's new general manager Adam Peters are now the two men charged with leading the Commanders into the future. Quinn is replacing Ron Rivera, who was fired by new owner Josh Harris one day after the 2023 season ended. The 53-year-old Quinn was the Cowboys' defensive coordinator the last three seasons, with Dallas' D ranking a combined fifth in points and seventh in yards under Quinn. He previously served as the Atlanta Falcons' head coach from 2015-20, leading the team to the Super Bowl after the 2016 season. Quinn finished 43-42 overall with the Falcons and will now take over a Commanders team that hasn't had a winning record since 2016 and hasn't won a playoff game since 2005.--Keith HernandezRead More News
