Carson Hocevar, who has competed in the NASCAR Truck Series for only three full seasons, will make the jump to the Cup level in 2024 as a member of Spire Motorsports. While he is certainly a talented driver, there are concerns that he may be taking on too much too soon. Among the concerns is that he just turned 21 on January 28, has only raced in 14 total car races between the Cup & Xfinity Series, and that he has just four wins in the Truck Series. To complicate matters further, he will replace Ty Dillon in the No. 77 car, which had a lackluster performance in 2023. Between his inexperience and his less-than-ideal equipment, there isn't much to be excited about when it comes to Carson Hocevar's prospects for this season, as I expect he will face a steep learning curve as he transitions to NASCAR's highest level.--Adam Erhardt - RotoBaller
