DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks For 12/29/23 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

Oumar Ballo - College Basketball Rankings, NCAA CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Today's DraftKings college basketball DFS lineup picks for 12/29/23. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice and lineup sleepers to help you win on DraftKings.

The two-game early slate doesn't look like anything too special, but the main one is! This slate is loaded with big names and Pac-12 openers. I can't wait! Last night was good for us. Let's see what we can do tonight!

We begin in Salt Lake City with Washington State in town. Next up, we have San Diego State in Spokane to take on Gonzaga. Washington heads to Boulder to take on the Ralphies. Arizona heads to Berkeley to take on Cal-Tech (since this team is half Cal players, half Texas Tech). We end in a different Bay Area 'burb with Arizona State taking on the Tree in Palo Alto.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/29/23, starting at 8:30 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Caleb Love, Arizona ($8,500)

I'm still buying in on the sheer volume of shots that Love is getting for Arizona. He hasn't shot well over the last couple of games, but Arizona just faced a murderer's row of teams: Wisconsin, Purdue, Alabama, and Florida Atlantic for the last four games. Ouch! Arizona still scored at least 84 points in all of those games. Love scored 88 points on his own. He's an elite scorer right now with a very high ceiling due to shot volume. I'll pay up for that on a team that scores a ton of points.

Keonte Kennedy, California ($6,900)

Kennedy has been a big shot in the arm for the Bears. In four games, he has 51 points, 27 rebounds, 18 assists, seven steals, and two blocks. That's a nice return in this price range. Kennedy's ability to contribute in every category even if his shot isn't falling is an underrated asset. He has at least 29 DraftKings points in all four games so far this year. That shouldn't change against a team like Arizona that will push the pace.

Lamont Butler, San Diego State ($5,500)

Butler hasn't been as aggressive offensively so far this year and the Aztecs have struggled at times because of it. He was a key catalyst to their run to the Championship game last year, partially because he scored 63 points in six games. Butler turned in a performance like that against Stanford before the break. If he can score with more consistency, Butler has a very high ceiling because of his defensive prowess.

Adam Miller, Arizona State ($4,900)

Miller hit the ground running against TCU but struggled with his shot against Northwestern. That highlights the issues with playing Miller. When he scores, he can break a slate. When he shoots 1-for-10, he's an albatross in your lineup. That makes Miller an ideal GPP target. What I'm looking at is the shot volume. He has taken 19 shots in his first two games with Arizona State. He's too cheap if he's getting that many chances. I'll bet that he's not shooting that poorly again anytime soon.

Also consider: KJ Simpson, Colorado ($8,800); Jalen Cone, California ($7,200); Ryan Nembhard, Gonzaga ($6,700); Kylan Boswell, Arizona ($6,100); Micah Parrish, San Diego State ($5,800); Luke O'Brien, Colorado ($5,300); Kymany Houinsou, Washington State ($4,600)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Oumar Ballo, Arizona ($8,200)

Big players come up big in big situations. That's what best sums up Ballo's four-game run. He pulled down an impressive 21 rebounds against Florida Atlantic. He notched a double-double against Alabama and just missed against Wisconsin. He's going to have his hands full with Fardaws Aimaq, but Aimaq struggled with the size of Santa Clara. Arizona could frustrate him as well.

Keion Brooks Jr., Washington ($7,800)

Whenever I can get a talented guy like Brooks in this price range, I pay attention. Brooks struggled against Montana State a couple of weeks ago but has bounced back with 59 points and 21 rebounds over the last three games. His production is almost exclusively points and rebounds, but when he's logging them at that level, it's easy to hit value.

Eddie Lampkin Jr., Colorado ($6,200)

You don't know how refreshing it is to see Lampkin on a team that knows how to use him. He was often an afterthought at TCU even though he put up strong numbers in a few minutes. Lampkin is starting to play more minutes for Colorado now. He just missed his second straight double-double by one rebound in the blowout win over Utah Tech. Colorado will need Lampkin's size against Washington. He could have a big game here.

Rueben Chinyelu, Washington State ($4,800)

Chinyelu's raw talent is intoxicating, but his 7.1 fouls per 40 minutes really take a toll on his consistency. We would like to see him a little more involved in the offense and able to stay out of foul trouble, but his rebounding chops and rim protection are enough to give us what we need even in his limited minutes.

Also consider: Jaedon LeDee, San Diego State ($8,300); Tristan Da Silva, Colorado ($8,100); Isaac Jones, Washington State ($7,700); Lawson Lovering, Utah ($5,800); Bryant Selebangue, Arizona State ($5,000)
