DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (11/16/23): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

Bam Adebayo - Miami Heat

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on November 16th, 2023. Dawn Tepper provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

It's Thursday, RotoBallers, which means we've got a mini slate today, just two games: Brooklyn at Miami and Oklahoma City at Golden State. The Warriors continue to be without Stephen Curry (knee) and will be without Draymond Green for five games, including two versus Oklahoma City. Dario Saric has the largest uptick in usage with those two off the floor, and in regards to DraftKings point differentials, Saric, Kevon Looney, and Chris Paul are at the top.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's DK price has increased to $10,600, but he is still bringing value tonight in a tight game at home versus a short-handed Golden State Warriors team. Two-game slates can be tricky, but seeing where we can be different is always fun. Let's see what we can find!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/16/23. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome new NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock. Good luck, Rotoballers!

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - PG, OKC vs. GSW ($10,600 DK, $11,300 FD)

This game has an over/under of 226.5 and a spread of -1.5. The Warriors are missing Curry and Green, and the Thunder's young team is showing great chemistry, having won their last two games.

In his last five games, SGA has averaged 33.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.2 assists. He is also leading the league in steals, averaging 2.6 per game, which doesn't bode well for Golden State, who have allowed ten steals per game in their last three games, the third highest in the league during this time. SGA is my spend-up tonight, chalky as he may be, and I'll look for low-owned value elsewhere.

Chris Paul - PG, GSW at OKC ($6,700 DK, $7,100 FD)

Without Steph Curry or Draymond Green in the lineup, Paul is expected to see a significant increase in his role. His cost is set at $6,700, and his performance tends to improve in their absence. Typically, he averages 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists when Curry isn't playing, a notable improvement over his usual averages of 8.8 points, 7.0 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Last season, Paul averaged 16.0 points, 9.0 assists, and 3.8 rebounds in 4 games versus the Thunder. It's a new season and team, but given how much usage he should have tonight, he could get close to this average in Oklahoma City.

Others to consider: - Kyle Lowry, PG, MIA vs. BKN ($5,600 DK, $5,200 FD); Klay Thompson (if he plays) - SG/SF, GSW at OKC ($6,600 DK, $5,800)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Dario Saric - PF/C, GSW at OKC ($5,200 DK, $5,700 FD)

As mentioned above, Saric has the largest uptick in usage when Curry and Green are off the floor. He is one of the highest-value picks on the slate tonight, and I'm expecting him to be chalky, but I'm playing him regardless. Saric is averaging 9.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game this season

In his one game without Curry this season, he averaged 21.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists. At $5,200 on DraftKings, he will definitely go over value and then some, making him a lock for tonight's slate.

Cameron Johnson - PF, BKN at MIA ($5,900 DK, $6,100 FD)

Trying to find non-chalky, lower-owned players on this slate is proving to be tricky, but Cam Johnson is close. His price doesn't make for the best value, but ownership is a bit lower, and we'll need that with all the Golden State chalk tonight.

Johnson has been averaging 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in the four games played this season. He scored 20.5 points and 3.5 assists while grabbing 2.0 rebounds across two games against the Heat. He's a safe, less chalky, option on tonight's small slate.

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Bam Adebayo - C, HEAT vs. BKN ($9,20 DK, $10,00 FD)

Adebayo will be a popular pick tonight, but that's for a reason - he's one of the best deals around. In the Heat's last six games, Adebayo scored more than 20 points and grabbed over 10 rebounds in five. His stats are pretty impressive during that stretch, averaging 23.5 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists.

While the Heat's other players have been in and out of the lineup, Adebayo has played in nine of the ten games they've had so far and he's leading the team in points (23.2), rebounds (10.4) and blocks (1.4) per game.

Chet Holmgren - C, OKC at GSW ($7,500 DK, $7,800 FD)

Holmgren and OKC will be going up against a Golden State team who are missing two of their strongest pieces, Draymond Green and Steph Curry. Holmgren will have an easier time than most without Draymond blocking his path to the basket. His ownership is projected to be below 15% (at the time of publication), giving him an opportunity to break the slate on tonight's small schedule.
