Buy Low, Sell High Week 10 Fantasy Trade Value Recommendations - Bijan Robinson, David Montgomery, Kenneth Walker, more

Bijan Robinson - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Rookies, Draft Sleepers

Joey's fantasy football trade analyzer article for Week 10 of the 2023 NFL season. His buy-low and sell-high fantasy football trade candidates and advice.

The fantasy football trade deadline is right around the corner. So now is the time to make those final moves before the playoffs begin. If you're fighting for a playoff spot, make sure to trade those injured players away and trade for players that will help you win right now.

On the other side, if you're already in a good position to make the playoffs, it might be time to make that one final big move to help improve your team. Most leagues will have their fantasy trade deadline in two or three weeks, so time is ticking if you want to make a trade before then.

Throughout the season, I have given you weekly players to buy low and sell high in fantasy to improve your team. Those buy lows included CeeDee Lamb, Austin Ekeler, Tee Higgins, and Josh Jacobs, all of whom have really picked things up. Here are two more players to acquire before Week 10 starts and two more players to get rid of.

Editor's Note: RotoBaller’s Dynasty content delivers year-round dynasty fantasy football rankings, trade advice, rookie analysis, and player outlooks. Build a title-winning roster with sleepers, stash targets, and our full dynasty fantasy football guide.

Fantasy Football Buy-Low Trade Targets

RB Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons

Through the first nine weeks of the season, Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson has been one of the biggest busts in fantasy based on his draft capital. Most fantasy managers spent a late first-round pick on the rookie, and it has not paid off in the early going. But Robinson is definitely a buy-low candidate heading into Week 10.

Let's be honest, it's really hard to trust Falcons head coach Arthur Smith to do the right thing and give Robinson full control of this backfield. The rookie only has one goal-line carry all year, and Smith was asked about that earlier in the week.

Despite the lack of goal-line work and fantasy points in recent weeks, there are plenty of positives to buy Robinson in fantasy. For starters, the rookie has played above 60% of the team snaps in every game this season, including over 73% in four of the last six full games played.

Robinson also has the second-easiest running back schedule in the fantasy playoffs (Week 15-17), playing against the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, and Chicago Bears. All three defenses rank bottom-eight against fantasy running backs this season. So if you're a team that expects to make the fantasy playoffs, acquiring the rookie might be a great move because better days are surely ahead for him.

RB David Montgomery, Detroit Lions

There's a strong chance that people are undervaluing Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery following his multi-week absence. Montgomery has missed the last two games with a rib injury but is finally back on the field and will make his return in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

But after the way rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs has played over the last two games, Montgomery owners might be panicking just a little bit. Lions head coach Dan Campbell also said that Gibbs will be more involved on offense and looks at Detroit's backfield as a committee.

However, that should give fantasy managers every opportunity to acquire the 26-year-old at a lower cost. In four full games this season, Montgomery has finished as the RB13, RB19, RB2, and RB5 in half-PPR formats. He has also scored a touchdown in all those contests as well.

Even if Montgomery plays 5-10 snaps fewer snaps per game with Gibbs' emergence, the veteran will continue to see a high volume of carries and goal-line touches. He's a fantasy RB1 on one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL. Try to buy him if you can.

Fantasy Football Sell-High Trade Targets

QB Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has put together a great year so far through nine weeks. He's currently the QB5 while throwing for 2,609 yards, 19 touchdowns, and seven interceptions this year. However, now might be the perfect time to sell high on him during the bye week.

If your fantasy team has a strong chance to make the playoffs and you currently roster Tagovailoa in one quarterback or Superflex leagues, look to sell him due to his brutal fantasy playoff schedule.

Tagovailoa will have to face the New York Jets in Week 15, the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16, and the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17. All three defenses are great at limiting fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. The Jets allow just 15 points per game. The Cowboys give up only 15.7 points per game, and the Ravens rank number one in that category, giving up just 11.3 fantasy points to quarterbacks per game.

Even before the Dolphins quarterback has to face those defenses, he'll face the Jets defense in Week 12 and the Tennessee Titans in Week 14; two defenses that rank top-10 in preventing quarterback points. With those tough matchups upcoming, I'd be willing to sell him in fantasy.

RB Kenneth Walker, Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker continues to trend down in fantasy after two tough matchups against the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens. But in those games, the biggest development was how much more involved rookie running back Zach Charbonnet was on offense.

Walker failed to top 50% of the team's offensive snaps in Week 8 and Week 9 for the first time this year. The 23-year-old back was dealing with a calf issue heading into Week 8, and the Seahawks were getting blown out in Week 9. So that could explain the recent low usage for him.

But things aren't looking good for Walker in the coming weeks, especially if Charbonnet continues to eat into his workload. The Seahawks face the San Francisco 49ers (twice), Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tennessee Titans from Weeks 12-16. Even Seattle's matchup against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 11 is not great for the young running back.

The 49ers (10), Cowboys (11), Eagles (1), and Rams (12) are all elite at preventing fantasy points to running backs per game, as shown by their rank in parentheses. Seattle could also be playing from behind or needing to throw more against the 49ers, Cowboys, and Eagles to keep up, which might mean more opportunities for Charbonnet in the passing game.

Either way, Walker's recent stretch has me concerned for the next few weeks. Try to trade him and upgrade your team in a big way before the trade deadline.
