New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr was the 36th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders. Carr spent the first nine years of his career with the Raiders, throwing 35,222 yards and 217 touchdowns in 142 games.
However, his time with the franchise ended this offseason. Carr signed a four-year deal worth $150 million with the Saints. The veteran quarterback has played well in his first few games with New Orleans.
The former second-round pick completed 63.8% of his pass attempts for 533 yards and a touchdown over the first two weeks this season.

Is Derek Carr Injured Or Healthy?
Carr completed 72.2% of his pass attempts for 103 yards and a touchdown on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. However, the veteran quarterback only played 54% of the snaps. He suffered a shoulder injury against the Packers and didn’t return to the game.
While the injury looked awful, the Saints got good news on their franchise quarterback. Carr suffered a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder. Head coach Dennis Allen says the veteran quarterback could play in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, the latest reports suggest that is unlikely.
Jameis Winston finished the Week 3 matchup against Green Bay after Carr got hurt. Winston will get the start this week if Carr can’t play.
Should I Pickup And Start Jameis Winston?
If the former No. 1 overall pick starts in Week 4, he will be one of many revenge game matchups this week.
However, fantasy players shouldn’t pick up and start Winston. The veteran quarterback completed 62.5% of his pass attempts for 101 yards and 4.04 fantasy points last week. Fantasy players can find a better starting option on the waiver wire.
Jordan Love has only made four career starts. Yet, he looks like a franchise quarterback. The former Utah State star has scored over 20 fantasy points in every contest this season, averaging 22.5 fantasy points per game. Furthermore, Love has the third-most passing touchdowns this year (seven).
Yet, the young star hasn’t played with Christian Watson this season. He has also only played one game with Aaron Jones. Meanwhile, Love faces the Detroit Lions this week. They surrendered 277 passing yards, two touchdowns, and 21.33 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the first two weeks this season.
