It ended up being a good day at Kansas Speedway for Erik Jones and the No. 43 Legacy Motor Club team. Thanks, in part, to a late pit road strategy call of only taking two tires, Jones was able to secure a podium finish at Kansas, his first top-five result of the season. That is his first top-10 result since his 10th-place finish at Michigan back in August. After struggling to find speed for most of this season, Jones had a smile on his face when it was all said and done at Kansas on Sunday. He told Fox Sports' Bob Pockrass, "Overall a good day." Looking at the loop data from the race, Jones was fifth-fastest when it came to Green Flag Speed and had the eight-best Average Running Position.--Jordan McAbee
