Justin Thomas has been struggling to find consistent form after missing the cut at the Rocket Mortgage Classic two weeks ago. He had a strong start to the year, with five consecutive top-25 finishes, but has since been searching for his rhythm. However, Thomas showed glimpses of his best at the Travelers Championship in June, where he finished tied for ninth. Last year's Genesis Scottish Open was a disappointment for Thomas, as he missed the cut after a poor first two rounds. Thomas must rely on his solid approach play to succeed at the upcoming tournament. He has performed well on approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairway, ranking in the 92nd percentile for poor shot avoidance percentage and the 97th percentile for good shot percentage this year.
