Toronto Maple Leafs forward John Tavares jumped back on the score sheet in Thursday's Game 5 against Tampa Bay, ending a two-game run without a point with two assists in a 4-2 loss. Morgan Rielly and Auston Matthews scored the goals. Tavares was desperately trying to light the lamp himself as well, firing off a team-high five shots on goal. He added one hit to his tally in 19:19 of ice time. Tavares, who now boasts three goals and six assists for the series, had a good performance, but it wasn't enough and the Maple Leafs have now dropped 11 consecutive series-clinching games. They will match the league's all-time record if they also can't take down Tampa in Game 6 and Game 7.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
