Kimi Raikkonen is set to make his second-ever NASCAR Cup Series start this weekend at Circuit of the Americas after a disappointing debut at Watkins Glen last year. Raikkonen is part of Trackhouse Racing's Project91 program and is behind the wheel of their #91 Chevrolet this weekend. Last year at Watkins Glen, Raikkonen showed steady improvement throughout the race but got caught up in an accident and ended up finishing 37th. His average running position in that race was 27.54. When asked about this weekend's EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas, Kimi stated, "I am excited to have another go, and hopefully we will stay out of any big issues. This will be tricky for sure, but the further we go in the weekend the easier it gets." Raikkonen had the 32nd-fastest lap in practice on Friday with a speed of 91.413 mph and followed that up with the 22nd-fastest lap in qualifying, which is where he will start the race from on Sunday.--Jordan McAbee
