Toronto Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews extended his goal streak to four games with a pair of tallies against Winnipeg on Thursday. He scored twice inside the first four minutes of the second period, recording the game-winning goal in a 4-1 victory with his second marker. Matthews missed a pair of games last week with an undisclosed ailment but has come out firing since then. The two-time Rocket Richard Trophy winner has lit the lamp 24 times in total this season, adding 27 assists in 44 contests. Matthews' form hasn't been as impressive as it was in the previous couple of seasons, but we still have half of the campaign to go and he has heated up nicely for it, with 12 goals and 12 assists posted in 19 appearances since the start of last month.--Taavi Pailk
