Is Lamar Jackson Healthy or Injured?
Baltimore's franchise quarterback was forced from the team's Week 13 game against the Denver Broncos with what appeared to be a knee injury. Jackson was injured on the final play of the first quarter and did not return to the game.
Ravens head coach John Harbough initially categorized Jackson's injury as somewhere between day-to-day and week-to-week according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley. Harbough clarified those comments Monday, saying that Jackson is week-to-week with the knee injury and less likely to play in Week 14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Should I Pick Up Tyler Huntley?
Losing Jackson for any period of time is certainly a blow to both the Ravens organization and his fantasy managers. Fortunately for both, it looks as though the Baltimore signal-caller has dodged a season-ending injury.
Tyler Huntley replaced Jackson in Sunday's win over the Denver Broncos. Huntley looked comfortable at the helm, completing 27 of 32 passes for 187 yards and one INT, while also rushing for 41 yards and a TD.
It isn't the first time that Huntley has filled in for Jackson, as he threw for 1,081 yards, three TDs, and four INTs in seven appearances in 2021. While he's certainly no Jackson, Huntley has proven himself to be a capable replacement-level starter. He holds fantasy value in Tw0-QB and SuperFlex leagues as long as Jackson remains sidelined.
