Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 11: Top Free Agent Adds Include Christian Watson, Parris Campbell, Nico Collins, Donovan Peoples-Jones

Justin Carter's fantasy football wide receiver waiver wire pickups for Week 11 of the 2022 NFL season. His free agent WRs to add, stream and stash off waivers.

The fantasy playoff are fast, fast approaching. I have some leagues where they start as soon as next week, and while that's not the case for most of you, it's still the crunch time of the fantasy football season. Below, you'll find some wide receivers that you should be targeting on the fantasy football waiver wire ahead of Week 11.

Not all of these waiver wire options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster.

Wide Receivers Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers - 8% rostered

Well, that was a surprise.

The Packers went really run-heavy in this week's win over Dallas, with Aaron Jones combining for 37 carries. But when Aaron Rodgers did throw, he looked at rookie Christian Watson, whose eight targets were twice as many as anyone else.

And what did Watson do with those targets? Four catches for 107 yards and, most importantly, three touchdowns. Watson had zero career touchdowns coming into this one. Was it a one-week blip? Maybe! But Aaron Rodgers needs someone—anyone—to step up, and we now have one game of evidence that Watson could be that guy, so I'm going to go add him.

Kadarius Toney, Kansas City Chiefs - 51% rostered

Toney was third on the Chiefs in targets this week, trailing running back Jerick McKinnon and tight end Travis Kelce. All in all, Patrick Mahomes threw the ball his way five times, with him catching four of them for 57 yards and his first NFL touchdown, plus he had two carries for 33 yards.

The Chiefs also lost JuJu Smith-Schuster to the concussion protocol in this one. It was...a really rough hit, and it's safe to say JuJu's status next week is in question, which would put Toney in line for some major usage.

Ben Skowronek, Los Angeles Rams - 1% rostered

Cooper Kupp is hurt. As of the time I'm publishing this, we don't know how bad it is yet, but things seem to be trending in the "it's bad" direction:

If Kupp misses time, I'll be interested in Ben Skowronek, whose seven targets were second on the team behind Tyler Higbee this week. He only caught two passes for 14 yards, but that also came with Matthew Stafford out. Skowronek with no Kupp but with Stafford wouldn't be anything close to a Kupp replacement, but he'd be worth a roster spot in most formats.

Parris Campbell, Indianapolis Colts - 18% rostered

We're back!

Campbell was trending up until the Colts benched Matt Ryan, but his numbers dipped the last two games with Sam Ehlinger under center. This week, new head coach Jeff Saturday unbenched Ryan, and Campbell was right back to his ways from earlier in the season: seven catches for 76 yards and a touchdown.

This is really easy to figure out. If Matt Ryan starts, Campbell's a viable WR3 play. If Matt Ryan doesn't, he isn't playable.

Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland Browns - 35% rostered

Oh look, another week of Donovan Peoples-Jones being pretty good! While he still hasn't found the end zone this year, he's at six games in a row with at least 50 yards, and in five of those, he's had at least 70. In Week 10, Peoples-Jones had his best performance of the year, catching five passes for 99 yards.

Peoples-Jones continues to see his role expand in Cleveland, and while he's not better than Amari Cooper, he is making a little more of his opportunities right now.

Nico Collins, Houston Texans - 13% rostered

Collins wasn't even a lock to play in Week 10 against the Giants, but he ended up leading the team in targets as quarterback Davis Mills looked his way 10 times. He caught five of them for 49 yards, including the team's only touchdown. Collins might have overtaken Brandin Cooks as Mills' preferred target, but in an offense like Houston's that has a low ceiling, Collins remains a risky fantasy play, albeit the most exciting receiver option on this team.

 

Wide Receiver Deeper League Waiver Wire Pickups

Zay Jones, Jacksonville Jaguars - 22% rostered

Maybe it was just a matchup-perfect storm, but the Jaguars' passing attack came to life this week. Two players saw double-digit targets and while Zay Jones didn't reach the heights of Christian Kirk, he still turned his 10 targets into eight catches for 68 yards. The Jags are on a bye next week, so I'm not prioritizing Jones, but he's capable of delivering some solid games.

Van Jefferson, Los Angeles Rams - 7% rostered

I think Skowronek is the bigger beneficiary of the Cooper Kupp injury, but that doesn't mean Van Jefferson won't also benefit, largely because the battle for snaps between him and Skowronek should just turn into both playing. Jefferson had three targets this week, catching all of them for 27 yards and a touchdown. I think the touchdown makes the day look better than it was, but again, this is more about the Kupp situation than it is Jefferson.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Tennessee Titans - 0% rostered

I think you could make an argument for adding Westbrook-Ikhine in a shallow league, but the nature of this Titans team makes it tough to project volume. Westbrook-Ikhine had a huge game this week, catching five of his eight targets for 119 yards and two touchdowns, with all four things being season highs.

But he also hadn't had a catch since Week 5. And Treylon Burks is back, which cuts into his potential volume. Still, you can't just write off 100-plus yards and two scores, especially with the Titans having a real dearth of viable receiving threats.

K.J. Osborn, Minnesota Vikings - 4% rostered

The Minnesota Vikings might be the most exciting team in the NFL right now.

The team pulled off an overtime victory over the Bills this week, and three players saw 10 or more targets. Justin Jefferson led the way and he always will, but K.J. Osborn was second on the team in targets with 11. He only caught four of those for 35 yards, but in a deep league, that level of volume is really intriguing.

Kendall Hinton, Denver Broncos - 0% rostered

Jerry Jeudy was carted off with an ankle injury during Sunday's loss to the Titans. It's unclear at this point what that means going forward for him.

With Jeudy effectively sidelined, Kendall Hinton saw five targets, catching four of them for 62 yards. If Jeudy ends up missing time, Hinton is interesting as a deep league flyer.
