Aroldis Chapman Likely To Land On Injured List Wednesday
2 years agoNew York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman (Achilles) has not been moved to the injured list yet. However, Yankees manager Aaron Boone has stated that Chapman will "likely" end up there. The team is planning to wait until Wednesday to make an official move on their hard-throwing reliever. Chapman suffered an Achilles injury during Sunday's game and his MRI after the game came back negative. Fellow reliever Clay Holmes, who is 4-for-4 on save opportunities with a 0.42 ERA on the year, should be the team's primary closer for however long Chapman is out. Holmes is likely rostered in all leagues where saves are scarce at this point, but if he happens to be out there in your league, make sure to go grab him.
