The Texas Rangers activated catcher/first baseman Mitch Garver (elbow) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Thursday night's game against the Houston Astros. Outfielder Nick Solak was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Garver has been hampered by a right elbow injury and he has still yet to fully heal. He will be strictly used as a designated hitter for the time being as he hasn't been cleared to start throwing the ball. Jonah Heim will remain the team's starting catcher with Sam Huff as the backup. Over 22 games so far this year, Garver is slashing .205/.292/.346 with three home runs, eight RBI and seven runs.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
