10 Worst QB Performances From Week 4, Including Bo Nix And Daniel Jones

Bo Nix - Fantasy Football Rankings, QB, NFL Rookies, Draft Sleepers

Quincy Milton ranks the 10 worst quarterback performances for Week 4 of the 2024 season. Bo Nix, Daniel Jones, and others make the list of 10 underperformers.

Every week, several quarterbacks fall flat on their faces. While there are 32 starting NFL quarterbacks, there are really only 20 or fewer high-end starters depending on the season.

This year has been a strange year in the NFL. Passing numbers continue to be down so it is hard to assess how good or bad quarterbacks are really playing. It seems as though passers are finally starting to hit their stride in Week 4.

This week's poor performances include players you might expect and others that may be a surprise. Let's take a look at who played the worst at the quarterback position in Week 4.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

10. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

It feels strange to put the best quarterback on the planet on this list but he had a down week in Week 4. Mahomes completed 19-of-29 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown. He threw a bad interception when he overthrew Travis Kelce. To make matters worse, Rashee Rice got hurt on the play when he tried to make a tackle.

Mahomes has not been himself all season. His improved receiving corps has not resulted in better statistical output in 2024. Now he will likely lose Rice for an extended time. The Chiefs were still able to pull out a win but the defense is the real reason this game went down as a win. Each of the Chiefs' games has been one-possession games in 2024, which is not a recipe for success.

9. Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints

Carr has seriously cooled off since his red hot start in Weeks 1 and 2. He threw for 239 yards and no touchdowns in Week 4 while adding an interception. The Saints played a hard-fought game against the Falcons and ultimately lost.

Carr has certainly regressed to his usual performances and the Saints have dropped two straight as a result. He will look to rebound in Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

8. Jacoby Brissett, New England Patriots

Brissett continues to have struggles behind a porous offensive line. His completion percentage in each game continues to remain high. However, his lack of yardage is indicative of the lack of protection.

Brissett has really not been a bad quarterback in 2024, however, his offensive line is making him put up numbers that would indicate that he is a bad quarterback. His days as the starter may be numbered with a young Drake Maye waiting in the wings. The only thing that may be holding Maye back is the fear from the Patriots of putting him in an impossible situation behind that offensive line.

7. Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets

Rodgers was not on his game in Week 4. The Broncos defense is really starting to round into form and they managed to shut down both the running and passing games. Rodgers was limited to 225 passing yards and no touchdowns in Week 4. He also only completed 57% of his passes.

Rodgers has been up and down this season. After a big Week 3, he took a big step back. Time will tell if Rodgers can find his old consistent form. The Jets sure hope so.

6. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

Love did not perform as expected during his first game back from a knee injury. He did manage to throw for 389 yards and four touchdowns. However, his three interceptions were pretty inexcusable. His third came on a terrible throw to Dontayvion Wicks in the end zone when the Packers had a chance to mount a comeback.

Love was inevitably rusty in his return from injury. His ability to put up huge numbers in spite of his turnovers bodes well for the future. He should get his turnovers under control and start to look like the Love we all know.

5. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts has been up and down in 2024. In Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Hurts threw for 158 yards and a touchdown. He added 20 rushing yards and a touchdown and also lost a fumble.

In the absence of top wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, the Eagles offense struggled to get anything going. With the Eagles heading into their bye at 2-2, expect them to address some issues and get right, especially with Smith and Brown expected back in Week 6.

4. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

Stafford had a tough day against a stingy Bears defense. He threw for 224 yards and an interception while also losing a fumble. Perhaps the worst part of Stafford's performance was that he threw the interception as the Rams were trying to mount a go-ahead scoring drive.

After a huge Week 3 in which Stafford led the Rams to victory over the 49ers, he fell flat on his face against the Bears. The absence of outstanding wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua is starting to show itself as a real problem. The Rams need to start stringing together some victories before the division and eventually playoff hopes slip away.

3. Deshaun Watson, Cleveland Browns

Watson is likely to be a recurring figure in this column. He continues to play poorly and there are no signs of improvement. Watson did complete 75% of his passes in Week 4 but he only managed to throw for 176 yards and a touchdown. He added an interception for good measure.

The Browns fell to 1-3 on the season. Watson's play honestly suggests that perhaps the team should give Jameis Winston a shot to run the offense.

2. Daniel Jones, New York Giants

Jones and the Giants took on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. Unfortunately, Jones did not have a great day. While he completed 29-of-40 passes for 281 yards, he threw an interception and no touchdowns. After a great Week 3, Jones had a tough outing against a desperate Cowboys team.

Jones is playing for his job in 2024. If he strings enough performances like this in a row, then he is all but guaranteed to not be the starting quarterback of the Giants in 2025. He will look to course correct in Week 5 against the Seattle Seahawks.

1. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos

How does one throw for only 60 yards and manage to come out with a win? Just ask Bo Nix, he can tell you. Nix completed 12-of-25 passes for 60 yards and zero touchdowns in a win over the New York Jets. This was a defensive slugfest as the Broncos came out with a 10-9 win.

Nix has not been able to get much going in 2024. However, the Broncos find themselves sitting at 2-2 in spite of his struggles through rookie growing pains. Perhaps the reason the Broncos won this game is due to another player on this list.
