Fantasy Football Trade Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider trading for or trading away heading into Week 10:
Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Cardinals
Trade Value: 44.5
ROS Rank: 51
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. recorded a career-high seven receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in Monday night's 27-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys. Harrison took advantage of a great matchup and broke out for his best fantasy performance of the season in Week 9.
It was his second-highest yardage total of the season, trailing his 98-yard performance in Week 5. The Arizona offense has been more functional with quarterback Jacoby Brissett while he's filled in for an injured Kyler Murray (foot), and Harrison looks like he could be ascending with Brissett at the helm.
The 23-year-old earned 10 targets in a game for the second time this season, but will face a stiffer test in Week 10 as the Cardinals go on the road to face a strong Seattle Seahawks defense.
Verdict: Buy low if you still can; fantasy production is improving with Jacoby Brissett
Jordan Mason, RB, Vikings
Trade Value: 26.5
ROS Rank: 88
Though Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. (shoulder) left Sunday's win at Detroit, the team does not believe the injury is serious, which could mean a changing role for fellow running back Jordan Mason.
The first-year Viking held down the backfield in Jones' absence with a hamstring injury, but Jones was the more effective of the two options against Detroit by gaining 42 more yards on one fewer carry. Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said the team found "an element of play style and physicality" that it had been lacking, and Jones was the main benefactor.
Additionally, Mason probably hasn't helped his cause with a few bad pass-blocking reps that contributed to sacks during the past two weeks. Minnesota may opt to ride the hot hand at running back every week, which can be tricky from a fantasy perspective. But if the Vikings aim to recreate their successful Week 9 game plan, Jones may feature more than Mason in the weeks to come.
Verdict: Buy low if possible as a flex option when healthy or to fortify your bench running back depth
Troy Franklin, WR, Broncos
Trade Value: 20.8
ROS Rank: 103
Denver Broncos wide receiver Troy Franklin will strive to lead the team in targets for a third straight game against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10.
Despite being on the field for fewer snaps throughout the season than teammate Courtland Sutton, Franklin has now surpassed Sutton for the time being with 21.05% of the offensive target share compared to Sutton's 20.39% target share.
It's safe to say that Franklin is making a name for himself within the Broncos offense, and with head coach Sean Payton integrating him more into the playbook, we could see weekly upside from him. Franklin is RotoBaller's WR35 for the week and can be trusted as a strong WR3/ Flex option against the Raiders.
Verdict: Try to buy for a fair value; Courtland Sutton is still the WR1, and Bo Nix has been shaky
Mark Andrews, TE, Ravens
Trade Value: 14.3
ROS Rank: 134
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews caught two of his three targets for 22 yards and two touchdowns during Thursday's Week 9 win over the Miami Dolphins. The veteran tight end had relatively low involvement in the victory, but he was highly efficient in terms of scoring, converting both of his grabs into touchdowns.
The 30-year-old now has 26 catches, 230 yards, and four touchdowns this season, which is a relatively underwhelming line through eight games. With that said, Andrews has scored four touchdowns through five games with Lamar Jackson under center, so perhaps the quarterback's return from a hamstring injury will give him a significant boost going forward.
Mark Andrews ranks as a mid-range TE2 for Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Verdict: No longer a target monster; avoid acquiring in trades unless you're desperate
Fantasy Football Trade Rankings Values
The higher the Trade Value number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Find your players, add up the trade values of each side of the offer, and see which side of the trade wins.
Who Should I Trade For?
Week 10 Trade Decisions. Today's focus is on specific players - Marvin Harrison Jr., Jordan Mason, Patrick Mahomes, Xavier Worthy, Mark Andrews, Nick Chubb, Troy Franklin. These are some key fantasy football names heading into this week's matchups.
Using The Trade Values. This is a simple trade value tool, but very powerful. In our fantasy football trade value rankings above, you will see the Trade Value for each player. The higher the number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Players with a high trade value number are players that you should be targeting more in trades.
How It Works. Each week, our RotoBaller staff puts together their weekly fantasy football rankings, projections, and trade values based on their research. That information is the core data that is powering the decision-making in this trade value rankings.
How To Calculate Trades. Fantasy football managers will make 1-for-1 trades, or 2-for-3 trades, or 3-for-2 trades, or many other combinations. For each side of the deal, add the trade values together. Whichever side has a higher total number wins the trade. For example, if someone is offering you three players, add the trade values of those three players together. Does the value of those three players exceed the values of the player(s) you are trading away? If so then it's a good deal for you.
