Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 18:
Parker Washington, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
Washington has proved throughout the season that he can provide fantasy value with other receivers injured or not playing. Still, even with everyone healthy and a lot of mouths to feed, such as Brian Thomas Jr., Jakobi Meyers, Brenton Strange, and Washington, it appears Washington has moved ahead in the pecking order of late. The biggest beneficiary of all these weapons is Lawrence, who has been playing the best football of his career of late. Week 18 should also present a good matchup against the struggling Tennessee Titans.
Audric Estime, RB, New Orleans Saints
They face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 18, who rank middle-of-the-pack against running backs this season. However, this could be Hill's final game as a Saint, and his usage on the goal line and in other key situations could cap Estime's ceiling in Week 18. In a meaningless game for the Saints, look for Hill to have a proper send-off against the Falcons, whom he has dominated in his NFL career.
Kimani Vidal, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
Backup quarterback Trey Lance is starting, which could lead to a run-heavy game plan for this offense. Vidal could be looking at a 20-plus carry game, assuming he's able to suit up. Without Vidal or Haskins, the Chargers would likely lean on Jaret Patterson or Amar Johnson. The Chargers' backfield is a situation to avoid in a game where the offense is expected to have a tough time moving the ball with a backup QB.
Emeka Egbuka, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Egbuka was off to a blazing start to the season with five touchdowns and 445 yards through the first five games, but he has quickly fallen off the radar and disappointed in the second half of the season with only 485 yards since. At this point, he is still worth a roster spot in most formats, but he can't be trusted to start as anything better than a WR3, and his value is plummeting.
Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns
The severity of Fannin Jr.'s injury is unclear as Week 17 draws to a close. Still, if the tight end were to miss Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Jeudy is likely to be rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders' primary target. However, the Bengals' pass defense is a bottom-three matchup for opposing wide receivers, which will probably limit Jeudy's upside.
