This week is the first major event: The Senior Bowl. While some of the top prospects in the draft class aren’t at the event, there are plenty of first-round players in Mobile.

What Did Will Levis Do In His College Career?

Some have criticized Levis for not being part of the Senior Bowl roster. Others have said he's not there because the NFL believes the quarterback isn’t very good. Meanwhile, others in the media have reported the opposite. Fans should expect more confusing and conflicting reports between now and draft night.

Regardless, the former Wildcat had a productive college career. In his two years at Kentucky, Levis had 43 passing touchdowns compared to 23 interceptions. He completed 65.7% of his pass attempts for 5,232 yards while averaging over 8.2 yards per pass attempt. Furthermore, the quarterback was a rushing touchdown machine in 2021. Levis was second on the team with nine rushing touchdowns that year.

Meanwhile, the Kentucky quarterback has several fans in the media. Leading the Levis fan club is ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. The draft analyst has the quarterback as a top prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Which Team Could Pick Will Levis In The 2023 NFL Draft?

Most years, there is no shortage of teams looking for a quarterback. This year is no different. Of the teams picking in the top 10 of the draft, only the Chicago Bears (picking first overall), the Arizona Cardinals (third overall), and the Philadelphia Eagles are the only three who shouldn’t consider drafting a quarterback.

While Alabama’s Bryce Young and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud are the top two quarterbacks in the draft class, Levis should be a top-10 pick too. He is consistently getting mocked as a top-five or six pick.

The Kentucky quarterback has plenty of raw tools but likely needs to sit for at least part of his rookie season. Therefore, Levis hopefully gets drafted to a team with a veteran already in place. The Seattle Seahawks (picking fifth overall) and the Detroit Lions (picking sixth) are two ideal landing spots.

Both teams have a veteran quarterback on the roster that can start the year before handing over the job to the rookie at the mid-way point of the season or even in 2024.
