Which AFC South players should managers buy in dynasty fantasy football leagues? Justin Carter looks at five players who you should be buying in the 2025 offseason in dynasty.

The offseason is the best time to transform your dynasty fantasy football team. It's a time when people get enamored with the next big rookie, so you can often go out and grab a veteran player for cheaper than you could during the season.

In the AFC South, there are a lot of these opportunities. The Texans are the best team in the division and have an established core of players, but the other three teams are in flux. If you trust that a player on one of those teams is part of their plans, now is when you can grab them at a discount.

Below are five AFC South players who fantasy managers should be buying this offseason.

Trevor Lawrence - QB - Jacksonville Jaguars

Once hailed as a generational talent, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence's stock has fallen significantly over the years. In RotoBaller's current dynasty rankings, Lawrence is the QB21, right behind fellow AFC South quarterback Anthony Richardson.

The shine has worn off Lawrence, but he's still only 25 years old. While he's coming off the worst season since his 2021 rookie campaign, it's worth noting that Lawrence was banged up in 2024, missing seven games due to a shoulder injury.

Jacksonville just hired Liam Coen as the team's head coach. Coen spent 2024 in Tampa Bay as the offensive coordinator for the Buccaneers, where he helped Baker Mayfield have the best season of his NFL career.

Happiest guy today has to be Trevor Lawrence with the Coen hiring. Baker Mayfield loved Coen — maybe not now — but Lawrence should be thrilled.

Coen is the perfect coach to rejuvenate Lawrence and turn the former No. 1 pick into some semblance of the star that most expected him to be. Maybe Lawrence will never be a top-5 quarterback, but he can surely be in that QB10 to QB15 range.

Tank Bigsby - RB - Jacksonville Jaguars

There were moments in 2024 when it looked like Tank Bigsby was just on the precipice of a breakout. In October, Bigsby rushed for over 100 yards twice, scoring four rushing touchdowns in four games.

His role diminished a bit after that, but he had double-digit carries in five consecutive games to end the year. His best yardage output in that span was only 55 yards, but he was playing behind an offensive line that had the 10th-worst run-blocking win rate and 10th-lowest yards before contact per run, per Sharp Football Analysis.

Bigsby is a great buy-low option. He's the RB43 in RotoBaller's dynasty rankings, below guys like Trey Benson and rookies like Devin Neal and Dylan Sampson.

Assuming Jacksonville doesn't draft a running back, Bigsby should be in for increased work next season.

Nico Collins - WR - Houston Texans

You'll have to give up a lot to acquire Nico Collins at this point, but he's still worth it, assuming you aren't selling your whole roster to bring him in.

The rapport between Collins and quarterback C.J. Stroud is absurd. With Stroud under center, Collins has transformed into one of the NFL's best receivers over the past two seasons, and that was with offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik's questionable play-calling impacting the upside of the Houston passing attack.

Provided Collins -- who missed some time with a hamstring injury in 2024 -- stays healthy, 2025 could easily be his best season in the NFL.

While Collins is entering his fifth NFL season, he averaged just 63 targets in his first two campaigns. He's still relatively fresh and still has room to grow into an even more unstoppable force in Houston.

Adonai Mitchell - WR - Indianapolis Colts

It's hard to slice this any other way: Adonai Mitchell's rookie season was a disappointment.

Despite playing in all 17 games for the Colts, the 22-year-old speedster out of Texas had more than two receptions just twice and more than 50 yards just once. While college teammate Xavier Worthy was thriving in Kansas City thanks to the team's creative play-calling, Mitchell just languished in Indy, with occasional flashes of his potential.

Now isn't the time to give up on Mitchell, though. In fact, with his value depressed like it is, now is the time to go after the second-year wideout, who RotoBaller has ranked as the dynasty WR67.

The Colts indeed seem to trust Alec Pierce and Josh Downs more as the counterparts to Michael Pittman Jr., but that doesn't mean Mitchell can't earn more of a role going forward.

Mitchell still has something the other receivers on this roster don't have: elite speed. Per PlayerProfiler, Mitchell ranks in the 97th percentile in the 40-yard dash and has a 98th percentile speed score. He's a potentially elite deep threat.

That just didn't work out as a rookie for a variety of reasons, including that the Colts had major issues at quarterback. The team threw for the eighth-fewest yards in the NFL and was the only team with under 300 completions.

If Anthony Richardson can improve his accuracy and win the starting job this offseason, Mitchell's speed can make him an intriguing deep-ball option. And yes, I know the same argument was made before his rookie year, but he's a lot cheaper in dynasty now if you want to cross your fingers and hope it pans out in 2025 and beyond.

Chig Okonkwo - TE - Tennessee Titans

There was a lot of offseason chatter about a 2024 Chig Okonkwo breakout campaign. That never quite materialized, but Okonkwo did have 40 or more receiving yards in three of the final four games of the season.

While he played just three snaps in the team's season finale, Okonkwo came on strong in the three games leading up to that, with 28 targets over that span. He averaged 9.3 targets, 7.3 receptions, and 60.7 receiving yards per game in those contests.

So, we now head into an offseason where it looks like Okonkwo could once again be on the brink of a breakout campaign. However, the fact it didn't happen in 2024 means that the disappointment is baked into his current value. Okonkwo is RotoBaller's dynasty TE25.

Now is the time to go after Okonkwo, who is ranked behind guys like Cole Kmet and Ben Sinnott. Nothing against either of those players, but Okonkwo just feels more likely to turn into a top-15 player at his position than the guys ranked around him.
