The First Serve: DraftKings DFS Tennis Picks for 1/10/2022 (Sydney & Adelaide 2 Day 2)

Brandon Wampler's tennis DFS picks for DraftKings. He picks his favorite tennis matches to target in DraftKings lineups for Sydney & Adelaide2 on Monday 1/10/2022.

Hey there, RotoBallers! I am Brandon Wampler and I have been playing Tennis DFS since the beginning! I hope everyone has been acclimating themselves to this wonderful article as the Australia Open gets closer and closer! Yesterday a round of rankings was sent out via Twitter if anyone saw and or played them. Unfortunately, they did not go as planned and the majority of favorites all lost uncharacteristically. Today's slate will not be any easier, however, navigating it together will help us return to winning ways.

In this article, you will find my favorite high-priced, mid-tier, and cheap plays for the DraftKings DFS Tennis slate on Monday, January 10th, 2022. Without any further ado, let's get into the picks!

High Priced DFS Tennis Picks ($10K+)

Viktor Durasovic DK: $4,500 vs Andy Murray DK: $11,000

Durasovic offers very little in terms of form and or stats with the Norweigan struggling to win. However, Murray is in the same form boat too, but he has much more experience and his serving seems to be hitting stride once again.

Expected Outcome: Murray 2-0

Mid-Tier DFS Tennis Picks ($8K-$10K)

Katerina Siniakova DK:$5,800 vs Cori Gauff(3) DK:$9,500

If there was ever a lock on the slate, look no further. Siniakova continues to be extremely inconsistent at best and she has lost her last three straight matches. Gauff’s form is nothing to write home about, but her potential to dominate Siniakova is something we cannot ignore.

Expected Outcome: Gauff 2-0

Maxime Cressy DK:$8,600 vs Adrian Mannarino DK:$6,700

Mannarino is nowhere near his former form on any surface, especially his preferred HC. Meanwhile, Cressy is an up-and-coming American looking to announce himself similarly to what Opelka did a season or two ago. Cressy has one of the highest ceilings on the slate if he can land his slate leading 18.2 percent Aces For.

Expected Outcome: Cressy 2-0

Cheap Favorites ($7K-$8K)

Anhelina Kalinina DK:$7,100 vs Soroana-Mihaela Cirstea DK:$8,000

Kalinina has better form for certain, but her history tells a different story. Furthermore, the majority of Kalinina’s form came against lesser talent than what she is facing on the WTA. For only $8K, Cirstea is surely one of the better options with her improving HC history and form.

Expected Outcome: Cirstea 2-1

The Dog House (Underdog Values)

Thiago Moura Monteiro DK:$7,100 vs Yoshihito Nishioka DK:$8,400

There are multiple hard to predict matchups on this slate, but these two make this specific matchup one of the hardest. Neither player is in good form and neither one truly dominates over the other in terms of HC – surprising since Nishioka is a HC player –. Therefore, we will be looking at Monteiro who has more composure on any surface. Even if Nishioka were to somehow pull off the win, his 2.5 percent Aces For will win him little to no bonus points.

Expected Outcome: Monteiro 2-1

Corentin Moutet DK:$7,400 vs Jan-Lennard Struff DK:$7,900

Only separated by a few hundred in salary, Moutet and Struff make it into the Dog House. Struff who is for the most part a prominent CC player has struggled on HC compared to Moutet. Neither one statistically holds weight over the other either. Out of sheer form and history, we will ride with the dog here.

Expected Outcome: Moutet 2-1

Guiliana Olmos DK:$5,400 vs Oceane Dodin DK:$9,800

Not exactly sure what DraftKings saw in this matchup, but there is no possible way that Dodin should be over $4K more in salary than Olmos. Neither are great on HC and Dodin happens to be a “specialist” on it as well. However, Olmos has shown a slightly better history via HC and for $4.4K cheaper, we will surely take that punt.

Expected Outcome: Olmos 2-1
