Trubisky last started in Week 4, but was replaced by rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett, who starred at nearby Pitt in college. Pickett kept the starting gig after that as the Steelers looked to the future with the first-round rookie.

What Happened To Kenny Pickett?

Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett was injured early in last week's game against the Ravens. He finished 0-for-1 for zero yards and was sacked.

Pickett suffered a concussion early in that game on the play where he was sacked. Because of the nature of head injuries, we don't really know when Pickett will be back, because everyone progresses through the concussion protocol differently.

But next week against the Raiders will be almost two weeks from the day that Pickett suffered the initial concussion, so don't be surprised to see the rookie back under center for Mike Tomlin's Steelers.

Should I Pickup Mitch Trubisky in Fantasy Football?

While Mitch Trubisky hasn't started a game since Week 4, he was essentially the starter last week against the Ravens, since Pickett was injured early. Trubisky wound up playing 47 snaps.

The former top-five pick was 22-for-30 for 276 yards with a touchdown, but he was also picked off three times by the Ravens defense.

Trubisky has basically played four full games this season. Last week was his best game of the year in terms of yardage, and he hasn't thrown more than one touchdown yet in a game.

He also hasn't added much as a runner. Despite a reputation for being mobile, Trubisky has 13 carries for just 29 yards this season, though he does have a rushing touchdown.

The Panthers, who Pittsburgh faces this week, allow just 16.0 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. The safest thing for fantasy managers to do this week is to leave Trubisky on the waiver wire, unless you're in a two-QB league, in which case he has some appeal as a low-end QB2.
