Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has suffered scary back, neck, and head injuries in each of the last two weeks, and Teddy Bridgewater has played in both games in relief. Tagovailoa returned to action in Week 3 after stumbling following a hard hit but did not return to the Thursday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals after a hard blow to the head in Week 4.
Tagovailoa has suffered numerous injuries throughout his three-year career, and his status leading up to Week 5 is certainly in question. The Dolphins' handling of his injuries has been under scrutiny because of the seriousness of head and neck ailments, so there are a lot of factors at play as to his possible return to action.
As always, determining the fantasy impact of injuries is part of the job as a fantasy writer, analyst, or manager, so it's worth exploring whether or not Bridgewater is worth adding to fantasy football rosters.

How Did Teddy Bridgewater Play In Week 4?
Bridgewater stepped in for Tagovailoa near the end of the second half and completed 14 of his 23 attempts for 193 yards and one touchdown to one interception. His numbers weren't bad considering he played just over one half, and he even connected on a deep shot to Tyreek Hill.

Bridgewater has been known as a conservative quarterback, but he looked willing to take risks and chuck it deep to the explosive Dolphins' pass-catchers.
Should I Pick Up Teddy Bridgewater in Fantasy Football?
Since Miami has 10 days of rest after its Thursday Night Football game, it's tough to know exactly what Tagovailoa's status is as of now. That said, Bridgewater should be picked up in all two-QB/Superflex leagues, and perhaps deep single-QB leagues. Tagovailoa has earned the "injury prone" label at this point in his career, so Bridgewater can at least be viewed as a "handcuff QB."
In two-QB/Superflex leagues where quarterbacks are scarce and not every team has a backup, Bridgewater is worth a roster spot. Sure, Bridgewater hasn't been a fantasy superstar in the past, but this is the best group of weapons he's ever played with. Bye weeks begin in Week 6, so it won't be long before several quarterbacks are out of action each week.
