Should I drop Elic Ayomanor for fantasy football Week 7? Is Elic Ayomanor a safe player to cut? Read the fantasy football waivers outlook.
Heading into the 2025 NFL season, there was a solid amount of hype for the Tennessee Titans' new-look offense. They used the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to select quarterback Cam Ward, and later chose wide receiver Elic Ayomanor.
From the beginning, Ayomanor has played a prominent role in the offense. He's logged over 70 percent of his team's offensive snaps in all six games of the season so far. But the results haven't been good. Ward has struggled massively.
The rookie quarterback ranks dead-last in multiple statistical categories, even those that account for poor offensive line play and lack of depth at pass-catcher. And Ayomanor is the WR49 so far. So, should you drop the first-year player?

Should I Drop Elic Ayomanor in Fantasy Football?
It depends. In deeper leagues, he should probably remain rostered. Fellow Titans WR Calvin Ridley (hamstring) is likely to be sidelined for at least a few contests with a hamstring injury, meaning Ayomanor could be in line for more targets.
But that doesn't mean he'll immediately have a ton of upside. Ward has been so bad that no Titans pass-catcher has been consistently fantasy-relevant through six games. Ayomanor had just two games with double-digit PPR fantasy points, and Ridley has had just one.
Cam Ward under pressure this season:
>27.3% Highly Accurate Throw Rate (worst in NFL)
>23.5% Pressure to Sack Rate (3rd-worst)
>-4.9% CPOE (QB24/34)
>59.1% Catchable Throw Rate (QB22)Major struggles under pressure is right. Nice call by @BGWhitefield pic.twitter.com/wA40n8cIoF

Statistically, he ranks bottom-3 in passing yards per game, lowest in TDs, last in yards lost to sacks, last in pressure-to-sack ratio, which measures what ratio of pressures a QB can't escape from, last in adjusted net yards per attempt, last in completion percent over expectation, last in catchable throw rate, last in highly accurate throw rate, and last in adjusted completion percentage.
Ayomanor has made some nice plays and caught two touchdowns so far, but it seems incredibly difficult for him to be consistent with such ugly QB play.
Who Should I Pick Up for Fantasy Football?
Atlanta Falcons WR Darnell Mooney (hamstring) is one of my favorite pickups ahead of Week 7. He might be a bench stash at this point, but in games where both Mooney and Falcons WR1 Drake London have played, the yardage totals for each are actually nearly identical -- both right around 50 yards per game.
In 2024, in games where Darnell Mooney played 85% or more of snaps:
Drake London: 68.2 YPG
Mooney: 64.3 YPGLondon: 0.29 TPRR, 2.31 YPRR
Mooney: 0.21 TPRR, 2.05 YPRRLondon: 15.4 PPG
Mooney: 12.6 PPGLondon: 8.06 Yds/Tgt
Mooney: 9.85 YPTHealthy Mooney isn't bad!

Mooney is actually pretty competitive with London -- he posts similar numbers when both players start and finish in a game. It might take some time for him to get back to 100 percent, though, as hamstring injuries can be tricky to recover from.
But he has great upside as a stash. Another player you should try to grab, in shallower leagues, is WR Jakobi Meyers. He's been the subject of many trade rumors recently, and if he ends up with the New York Giants, he could easily become a must-start receiver -- that team is desperate for WR help after the injury to elite wideout Malik Nabers (knee), who is out for the season.
