As fortunate fantasy managers are in the thick of their league's playoffs, every decision is a crucial one at this juncture of the season.
Carolina Panthers running back D'Onta Foreman put forth an underwhelming performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15, posting just nine rushing yards on 10 attempts.
With the clock ticking down on the fantasy football playoffs, is it time to drop Foreman from fantasy rosters?

What Has D'Onta Foreman Done This Season?
An off-season acquisition from the Tennessee Titans, D'Onta Foreman has had some nice moments with the Carolina Panthers in 2022. After their poor start to the year, Carolina fired coach Matt Rhule mid-season and also shipped superstar running back Christian McCaffrey to San Francisco at the NFL trade deadline.
McCaffrey's absence opened a door to playing time for Foreman. He's responded with 646 yards and four TDs on the ground for the Panthers and has logged four games with over 100 rushing yards.
Foreman dealt with a foot injury earlier this month, which might be the reason behind backfield mate Chuba Hubbard's increased role in recent weeks. Last week's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was Foreman's worst output of the year post-CMC, as he gained just nine yards on 10 carries.
Can I Drop D'Onta Foreman in Fantasy Football?
Foreman has posted some nice spike performances for those fantasy managers that were able to grab him following McCaffrey's midseason departure. Despite starting just seven games in 2022, Foreman stands as the overall fantasy RB37 in standard leagues.
While he continues to run hard in a vanilla Carolina offensive scheme, Foreman appears to be trending in the wrong direction. He was on the field for just 14 offensive snaps last week against the Steelers and saw no room to run, picking up less than a yard per carry. The task will remain tough in Week 16, as the Panthers are set to square off against a trending Detroit Lions unit that ranks number one in the NFL against the RB position since Week 6, per Andrew Erickson.
With a tough matchup against Detroit, this week - and a Week 17 date against a rugged Tampa Bay Bucs run defense - Foreman should be considered a touchdown-dependant back going forward. Fantasy managers that need to be aggressive in the playoffs might want to look for stronger options down the stretch.
