Should I drop Bhayshul Tuten for fantasy football Week 7? Is Bhayshul Tuten a safe player to cut? Read the fantasy football waivers outlook.
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Bhayshul Tuten was a fourth-round selection by his team in the 2025 NFL Draft, but through six games, he hasn't done much yet.
He's the RB44 overall, having rushed 27 times for 108 yards and a touchdown and caught six of his eight targets for 59 yards and another score.
But so far, he's taken a major backseat to Jaguars lead RB Travis Etienne Jr., who has served as the team's clear RB1 and handled the vast majority of the workload. So, should you drop Tuten?

Should I Drop Bhayshul Tuten in Fantasy Football?
I would strongly recommend that you don't do this. Tuten is rostered in less than 40 percent of fantasy leagues, but he's possibly the highest-upside handcuff in the league. His lack of production could be explained by a shoulder injury he suffered in Week 2. He was limited in practices every week since then.
He's no longer dealing with the injury, apparently. He wasn't listed on his team's injury report for the Wednesday practice. It seems possible that he could have been held back and not given many touches while he recovered, but given his draft capital, that could be about to change.

Etienne hasn't been anywhere near as efficient in the last two weeks, and though he's faced tougher defenses, his major downturn in production is concerning. That level of play, even against good defenses, isn't something that will inspire coaches to continue giving a ton of work to a back unless they have another choice.
Tuten has made some mistakes so far, but that's generally expected of rookie players. They often make big leaps after their bye weeks, and Tuten's is coming up in Week 8. I expect him to see increased volume after his off week.
Who Should I Pick Up for Fantasy Football?
Running backs are few and far between on waivers and in free agency right now -- at least those who have major upside are. But if you want to take a dart throw on a player who could help you win your matchup in Week 7, you could go for Arizona Cardinals RB Michael Carter.
Of the Cardinals' top-3 healthy RBs, Emari Demercado (ankle) and Bam Knight (knee) are both dealing with injuries. If Knight ends up not being able to play in Week 7, or he's limited in any way, Carter could have the featured role again.
A long estimated injury report for the Cardinals, who did not practice today.

You could also grab New Orleans Saints RB Kendre Miller or Atlanta Falcons tailback Tyler Allgeier. Both have huge contingent upside in case of injury to the lead back ahead of them, and both have at least deep league flex appeal as backups.
