NFL QB Power Rankings: Projecting All 32 Starting Quarterbacks Ahead of Training Camp

Michael Penix Jr. - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Quincy projects and ranks all 32 starting NFL quarterbacks for the 2025 season. Where does each quarterback (QB) stand post-heading into training camp?

Aaron Rodgers - Fantasy Football Rankings, QB Sleepers

With NFL training camp knocking at the door, we fans will finally receive a glimpse at how each offensive squad is shaping up. This is the time of year when quarterback battles become fully revealed and new offensive additions build serious hype. With football back at our doorstep, let’s check out where each quarterback stands in the power rankings.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

No. 32: Spencer Rattler - New Orleans Saints

The Saints find themselves with two young quarterbacks entrenched in a battle for the starting job, given the unexpected retirement of Derek Carr. Early reports suggest that Spence Rattler is in the lead and has made substantial strides since last season.

Cam Ward - College Football Rankings, NCAA CFB DFS Lineup Picks, NFL Draft Prospect

No. 31: Cam Ward - Tennessee Titans

Any unproven rookie quarterback must begin the season near the bottom of the power rankings. However, Ward has a chance to quickly rise through these ranks. Ward has impressed throughout the offseason, and the Titans have done well to surround him with weapons.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

No. 30: Daniel Jones - Indianapolis Colts

Anthony Richardson is dealing with yet another shoulder injury and seems to be ceding ground to Daniel Jones for the starting job. At this point, Jones appears to have the inside track to starting for the Colts in Week 1. Training camp will be an important period for both players.

Joe Flacco - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

No. 29: Joe Flacco - Cleveland Browns

The Browns have been difficult to read as their offseason quarterback battle continues. At one point, rookie Shedeur Sanders was receiving quite a bit of praise. Now, Joe Flacco appears to be in pole position to win this job. He is the logical choice to begin the season as the Browns’ starter, given his veteran status.

Drake Maye - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

No. 28: Drake Maye - New England Patriots

Drake Maye appeared to struggle during the Patriots’ early offseason program, but this is the time when young quarterbacks are encouraged to take chances. The Patriots should be drastically improved this season with a new regime in town. Look for Maye to make a huge jump up this list relatively early in the season.

Michael Penix Jr. - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

No. 27: Michael Penix Jr. - Atlanta Falcons

Michael Penix Jr. has everything he needs to succeed. The Falcons have a stable regime in place and a plethora of weapons. Additionally, the team’s defense should continue to improve in Year 2 with head coach Raheem Morris. It is now up to Penix to go out and prove himself.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

No. 26: Aaron Rodgers - Pittsburgh Steelers

Aaron Rodgers is bumping up this list after a plethora of win-now moves by the Steelers. Pittsburgh’s acquisition of tight end Jonnu Smith will provide Rodgers with another safe weapon. Additionally, newly acquired cornerback Jalen Ramsey will boost the defense, which will also support the offense.

NEW YORK JETS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

No. 25: Justin Fields - New York Jets

Justin Fields is receiving his final chance to prove his worth as a starting quarterback in the NFL. The Jets have solid pieces in place, which may finally allow Fields to reach his potential. Then again, New York is where quarterback careers go to die.

Trevor Lawrence - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

No. 24: Trevor Lawrence - Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence has a stud wide receiver in Brian Thomas Jr. in place. The Jaguars’ addition of new head coach Liam Coen is also a huge boost for Lawrence. If Lawrence does not fully break out this season, he may never.

NEW YORK GIANTS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

No. 23: Russell Wilson - New York Giants

Although many people are skeptical of the Giants this season, they actually have a solid roster in place. Russell Wilson may not be an MVP candidate anymore, but he is a huge upgrade over anyone the Giants rolled out in 2024. Wilson could have a very nice season in 2025.

J.J. McCarthy - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Draft Sleepers

No. 22: J.J. McCarthy - Minnesota Vikings

J.J. McCarthy has the best chance to succeed of any first-year starter in a long time. He is surrounded by weapons and a genius head coach in Kevin O’Connell. McCarthy could start the season slowly, but expect him to blossom as he figures out the NFL game.

Caleb Williams - Fantasy Football Rankings, QB, NFL Rookies, Draft Sleepers

No. 21: Caleb Williams - Chicago Bears

Caleb Williams has no more excuses. The Bears have assembled an embarrassment of riches around him in the offense. They also hired head coach Ben Johnson, who led the Lions’ offense over the past few years. Williams needs to cut down on the hero ball and pouting on the field. If he does so, there is almost no way he will not be elite.

Bryce Young - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

No. 20: Bryce Young - Carolina Panthers

The Panthers are finally acting like Bryce Young is their future. They have continued to bolster their offense throughout the offseason. The team has a realistic chance to compete in 2025 as long as Young continues to build on his tremendous end to the 2024 season.

Las Vegas Raiders - NFL LOGO, STOCK

No. 19: Geno Smith - Las Vegas Raiders

Geno Smith is gearing up to begin his first training camp as a member of the Raiders. He forced his way out of Seattle and will now need to prove he was worth the deal the Raiders gave him. Some question whether he will succeed, given that Smith has not succeeded anywhere but Seattle in his career.

Kyler Murray - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL DFS Picks

No. 18: Kyler Murray - Arizona Cardinals

Kyler Murray is looking to bounce back after a down season. He is fully recovered from his 2022 ACL injury, and he must prove he is the elite option the Cardinals drafted him to be. Murray appears to be more content and focused this season, which bodes well for his 2025 prospects.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS LOGO - NFL, STOCK

No. 17: Sam Darnold - Seattle Seahawks

Similarly to Geno Smith, Sam Darnold must prove he is worth his money. Darnold has not succeeded anywhere but in his lone season in Minnesota in 2024. As such, he will need to work closely with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak to continue his ascension.

C.J. Stroud - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

No. 16: C.J. Stroud - Houston Texans

C.J. Stroud may have an elite No. 2 wide receiver in rookie Jayden Higgins. Higgins has flashed serious talent throughout the offseason program. With training camp coming up, we will get a chance to see what Higgins can really do. If Higgins is great, Stroud will be too.

Dak Prescott - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

No. 15: Dak Prescott - Dallas Cowboys

The addition of wide receiver George Pickens is huge for Dak Prescott. Prescott has not had a legitimate No. 2 option at his disposal since Amari Cooper was in town. Now with Pickens, CeeDee Lamb, and tight end Jake Ferguson, Prescott could return to the top 10 on this list.

Brock Purdy - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL injuries, DFS Picks

No. 14: Brock Purdy - San Francisco 49ers

Brock Purdy suffered a down season in 2024 with several of his weapons nursing injuries. While Vegas seems to believe the 49ers will be fine in 2025, their offseason moves are less convincing. Fresh off a new contract, Purdy must rise to the level of play his raise would suggest.

Tua Tagovailoa - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

No. 13: Tua Tagovailoa - Miami Dolphins

Tua Tagovailoa watched one of his favorite targets from 2024 get traded when the Dolphins shipped Jonnu Smith off to the Steelers. The move suggests that the Dolphins will be in the market for a tight end. However, it also signals that they are ready to let Tagovailoa cut the ball loose down the field once again. If the latter, Tagovailoa will rise on this list throughout the season.

Bo Nix - Fantasy Football Rankings, QB, NFL Rookies, Draft Sleepers

No. 12: Bo Nix - Denver Broncos

Bo Nix is in a great situation. The Broncos boast one of the best offensive lines in the league and a great defense. Nix does not have any elite weapons around him, but the wide receiver room is deep, and the Broncos upgraded their backfield by drafting running back RJ Harvey.

Free Agency Check - Quarterback ADP Risers and Fallers

No. 11: Jordan Love - Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love received a gift that his predecessor, Aaron Rodgers, begged for for years: a first-round wide receiver. With Matthew Golden entering the fold, Love has a chance to unlock his true potential. Love’s 2024 metrics were solid, and there is still a lot of room to grow.

Baker Mayfield - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

No. 10: Baker Mayfield - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield will begin the season with a new offense once again, with the departure of former offensive coordinator Liam Coen. Mayfield has seemingly thrived on the instability over the last couple of seasons, as he has only improved. Expect more of the same in 2025.

matthew stafford fantasy football rankings news NFL DFS lineup picks

No. 9: Matthew Stafford - Los Angeles Rams

Matthew Stafford is an old, reliable quarterback at this point in his career. No matter what the Rams do to shake up their offense, Stafford will always be the anchor point. The Rams added Davante Adams to the wide receiving room this offseason. It could be a magical season for the 37-year-old.

Justin Herbert - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

No. 8: Justin Herbert - Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Herbert could see a serious level up in Year 2 of the Jim Harbaugh era. The Chargers added to their wide receiving corps and their backfield this offseason. Their offensive line remains steady, and Herbert himself is immensely talented. A career year could be loading for Herbert.

No. 7: Jared Goff - Detroit Lions

Jared Goff will be without former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson for the first time since he was traded to the Lions in 2021. Goff has thrived in Detroit and should continue to do so even in Johnson’s absence.

Jayden Daniels - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

No. 6: Jayden Daniels - Washington Commanders

Jayden Daniels is coming off the best rookie season we have ever witnessed for a quarterback. There has been very little buzz about his play in the early portion of the offseason, but that could all change once training camp is underway.

Jalen Hurts - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

No. 5: Jalen Hurts - Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts is in a perfect position to continue leading the Eagles to Super Bowls. The team has done such a good job drafting that the supporting cast remains largely the same. The reigning Super Bowl MVP should be very pleased with his team.

Patrick Mahomes - Fantasy Football Rankings, DFS Lineup Picks, NFL Injury News

No. 4: Patrick Mahomes - Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes is lower on the power rankings than usual as we enter training camp. As of now, there is little information regarding the improvement of the pass catchers in the offense. If the supporting cast around Mahomes takes a huge step forward, it will not be long before he reclaims the top spot on this list.

Joe Burrow - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS and Betting Picks

No. 3: Joe Burrow - Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Burrow watched his top two wide receivers (Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins) take home massive deals this offseason. The band is back together on offense and will continue to play at a high level so long as they stay healthy. The defense is another question, and they could once again force an MVP-caliber season out of Burrow.

Lamar Jackson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

No. 2: Lamar Jackson - Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson takes the No. 2 spot on this list after a solid offseason from the Ravens. This team will continue to win in gritty yet dominating fashion. Their most flashy offensive addition was wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who will improve their red zone offense.

Five Fantasy Football Overvalued Quarterbacks

No. 1: Josh Allen - Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen is entering the next chapter of his career. He seems to have finally learned how to play mistake-free football, which led him to his first MVP award. If Allen continues that level of play, it will only be a matter of time before he cracks through to a Super Bowl.
