Waiver Wire Watch List - Week 10 Free Agents
It’s hard to believe we’re through two full calendar months of the season, but here we are. The contenders have begun to separate themselves from the pretenders in both real life and fantasy, but with two thirds of the season left to play there’s still time to make up ground. This week’s theme is certainly […]

Addison Russell Leaves Sunday’s Game Early
Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell was removed from Sunday’s game in the bottom of the sixth inning. There was no mention of an injury and there should be more known on his status shortly. Ben Zobrist replaced Addison Russell in the lineup with second baseman Javier Baez moving over to shortstop. Russell finished Sunday 1-for-2.

Andrelton Simmons Gets Day Off Sunday
Los Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers. Simmons has been on fire recently going 10 for his last 25 with an OPS of 1.043, bringing his season numbers up to a .336 average and .874 OPS. He is the fifth ranked shortstop in fantasy and […]

FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (6/3/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice
Happy Sunday DFS players. Today's main slate is loaded with amazing matchups for high-priced superstars which makes finding value in cheap options more important than ever (see RotoBallers "Value Plays" article closer to game time). There are also quite a few solid options at starting pitcher in the FanDuel main slate such as Charlie Morton, […]

Yankees-Orioles Series Finale Has Been Postponed
Sweeny Murti of WFAN reports that the series finale between the Yankees and Orioles originally scheduled for Sunday afternoon has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as a doubleheader in mid-August. Owners in daily leagues need to swap out any Yankees and Orioles players in their lineup before the […]

Week 10 Waiver Wire - Second Base (2B) and Shortstop (SS)
Being a fantasy writer, like being a fantasy owner, means being wrong on something of a regular basis. So when you nail one, it’s important to acknowledge (read: gloat about) it. If you heeded last week’s advice and picked up the heretofore scuffling Ian Kinsler, you were rewarded with a week in which he collected […]

The Cut List (Week 10) Time to Let Go?
Welcome to Week 10 of the Cut List. My suggestions from last week were looking good until Eduardo Escobar hit three home runs between Thursday and Friday. That’ll happen occasionally, but I think my suggestions have been sound throughout the year. This week, I take a look at Kevin Pillar, Adam Duvall, Gregory Polanco, and […]

Jose Iglesias (SS, DET) - Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues OWNED IN: 5% of leagues ANALYSIS: Detroit Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias does not have impressive numbers overall this season, but he has turned it on of late. Iglesias has hit .303/.367/.449 with a pair of homers and five steals over the past 30 days. Even looking at the […]

Orioles-Yankees Game Facing Rain Delay Saturday
MLB.com writer Bryan Hoch reports that the Saturday game between the Orioles and the Yankees will be delayed due to the threat of inclement weather. This is not the first time this season the two teams have dealt with rain delays and postponements, so fantasy owners in daily leagues might want to consider swapping out […]

Manny Machado Lone Offensive Bright Spot For Orioles Friday
Baltimore Orioles shortstop Manny Machado went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a single, and a walk in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Yankees. The opposite-field rope was Machado's 17th HR of the season, giving him a tie for the third most in baseball. The 25-year-old has been an absolute fantasy juggernaut this season, mashing […]

Andrelton Simmons Expects to Play After Being Spiked
Los Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons received a "nasty gash" on his left shin after a hard slide from Texas second baseman Rougned Odor. Simmons expects to play on Saturday however. The shortstop is having a magnificent season, hitting .337 with four home runs and five stolen bases. He is a top-tier shortstop and should […]

Hitter Streamers (Week 10) - Head-to-Head Leagues
Welcome back to my hitting streamers column for Week 10, taking a look at hitters to add or stream off the waiver wire for this week's scheduled games. To keep things simple, I pick from players who are 50% owned or less and who play at least seven games in the week. If someone jumps […]

Eduardo Escobar Continues To Mash
Minnesota Twins shortstop Eduardo Escobar continued his excellent season against the Cleveland Indians on Friday. Escobar went 2-for-4 with two homers and four RBI to help down Cleveland 7-4. The young shortstop blasted a three-run homer off of Cleveland starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco in the first inning and added a solo shot off of Josh […]

FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (6/2/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice
It’s the first Saturday in June and FanDuel brings us an eight game featured slate tonight. This slate has a pair of elite pitchers in tough matchups, some good pitchers in cake matchups, and another potential Coors Field slugfest. Vegas projects a low scoring slate, as the 10.5 O/U in the Coors Field game is […]

Buy or Sell - Undervalued and Overvalued Players for Week 10
One man's trash is another man's treasure. This is what I tell myself when I'm bidding $6 for Ryan Braun in an Ottoneu league where I need OF help or adding Zack Godley to a pitching staff that has underperformed. These players aren't without warts and could never turn back to top form this season, […]

Carlos Correa's 10th Home Run Powers Astros
Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa hit his 10th home run of the season in the eighth inning of the Astros 7-3 win over the Red Sox on Friday. Correa went 2-for-4 in the game and now has 39 runs batted in on the season. The .267 batting average isn't quite at the level that fantasy […]

Trea Turner Finishes 1-for-4 Friday, Extends Hitting Streak to 13 Games
Nationals shortstop Trea Turner had one of the team's two hits in the Friday night loss to the Braves, finishinng 1-for-4 with a strikeout. It was a lackluster performance, but it did extend his hitting streak to a now career-high 13 games. During this streak, Turner is hitting .281 with four doubles, a home run […]

Dansby Swanson Hits Three-Run Bomb In Win Over Nats
Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson picked a good time to collect his only hit of Friday night's game. He hit a three-run shot in the seventh inning off Stephen Strasburg. The homer was part of a four-run frame that backed starter Mike Foltynewicz. Swanson, who has struggled since coming back from injury, now has four […]

Paul DeJong Hopes to Return in Early July
St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong (hand) hopes to return from the disabled list in early July. DeJong has been out since breaking his hand and having a plate and screws inserted surgically. Yairo Munoz has more or less taken over at shortstop while DeJong is out, but DeJong should have his spot back as […]

Troy Tulowitzki Has Started Jogging
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has started jogging, which is the next step in the rehab process as he works his way back from surgery to remove bone spurs from both of his heels. This is certainly progress for the often-injured 33-year-old, but we wouldn’t get too excited just yet. He likely still has […]

In preparation for today's freeroll on DraftDaily, below you can find my recommended lineup picks. If you've never played on DraftDaily before, it is fairly similar to the other sites, but you tend to lose more points. We have a full 15-game slate scheduled for Friday and all games are set for 7:05pm (EST), or later. That means we have a stocked player pool from both the pitching and hitting aspect of DFS. Seven of the games have an over/under of at least nine total runs and only one team is a […]

FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (6/1/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice
As we welcome the month of June, hopefully much of the Spring showers are behind us. The rain - and rainouts - have gotten a bit out of hand. Does it sound like I got burned by the Yankees - Orioles rainout? Because I most certainly did. Anywho, beautiful 15 game slate on deck for […]

Week 10 Waiver Wire: H2H Category Streamers
I like to consider myself a pioneer of the streaming approach. I won a league about seven years ago completely ignoring saves and just stacking up the starts each week. While streaming is undoubtedly more directly associated with pitching, there's plenty of value in streaming for offense as well. Maybe you have a stacked roster […]
