Zach Cole Jr. Looks Sharp After Injured-List Stint
6 months agoHouston Astros outfield prospect Zach Cole Jr. (hamstring) has performed well throughout his first 10 games of the season. Cole opened the season on the seven-day injured list with a hamstring injury. When activated on May 14, he immediately made his Double-A debut. Through his first 10 games at that level, the 23-year-old is riding an impressive .297/.381/.405 slash line, four RBI, two stolen bases, and a 4:0 BB:K. Last season, Cole spent the summer primarily with Single-A but did log the final 41 games of the campaign with High-A. Overall, he posted a .258/.380/.489 line with 19 long balls. Cole has yet to face any major roadblocks while progressing through the minor leagues. MLB Pipeline projects him to reach the majors next season, and he could be a popular stash candidate in dynasty leagues if he carries this success into Triple-A.
