Kyle Harrison Could Start Wednesday for the Red Sox
Kyle Harrison was initially set to start Sunday in Triple-A, and now he is not. With the report, the Red Sox plan to keep rookie Payton Tolle on at least five days of rest and would need one spot start each of the next two weeks. This might mean Harrison gets a start against the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday. Harrison was a part of the return the Red Sox got that sent Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants, and he has flashed some upside in the past. Harrison owns a 3.65 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in 49 1/3 innings with Worcester this season. While in the big leagues, he has a 4.56 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in 23 2/3 innings pitched. Harrison could be a streamer option in deeper leagues for teams that are looking for starting pitching help, as Harrison has flashed signs of success in the past with 35 MLB starts under his belt and a 4.48 ERA.
