5 years agoChicago White Sox manager Rick Renteria estimates that catcher Yasmani Grandal (calf) will miss another seven to 10 spring training games in the Cactus League. Grandal has been hitting and catching and was scheduled to do some sprints on Monday, so they are just being cautious with their big free-agent acquisition. Barring any setbacks, he should have plenty of time to be ready for the regular season. Grandal will be in another good hitting environment in Chicago in an improved lineup. The 31-year-old switch-hitter batted .246 with 28 home runs, 77 RBI and even five steals last year for Milwaukee. He's RotoBaller's No. 3 fantasy backstop behind only J.T.
