Willson Contreras Breaks Out Of Slump With Two-Run Home Run
4 years agoChicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras got back on track with a strong performance versus the San Diego Padres on Tuesday. Contreras entered the contest with eight hits over his last 39 at-bats, but went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run on Tuesday evening. Contreras has consistently been one of the best offensive catchers since entering the league in 2016 and is now hitting .248 with nine home runs and 24 RBI. Contreras will look to keep the momentum going versus Dinelson Lamet on Wednesday.
