Vikings Confident In Kirk Cousins
4 years agoMinnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said the team remains confident in quarterback Kirk Cousins after signing him to a two-year contract extension just last season. "Kirk's our guy," Zimmer said. "You know, he had a terrific year this year. We were fourth in the league on offense." Cousins actually had one of his best seasons in 2020, finishing with career-highs in passing touchdowns (35) and total touchdowns (36) while throwing for over 4,000 yards for the fifth time in his career on 516 attempts (67.6 completion percentage). With one of the best running backs in the league in Dalvin Cook, rising young receiver Justin Jefferson and wideout Adam Thielen in the fold, Cousins has plenty of weapons around him to allow him to remain productive in 2021. While the 32-year-old isn't the sexiest fantasy pick, he should at least carry low-end QB1 value into fantasy drafts this fall.
