Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman will miss Friday's matchup against Winnipeg for personal reasons. He has returned home to be with his wife as the couple is expecting their second child. It's the third game Hedman misses this season. The former Norris Trophy winner had a quiet start to 2022-23, but he has picked up the pace lately and exits the lineup after having a run of 13 points in 10 games. Hedman had managed 25 points in 35 games for the whole campaign. Tampa's No. 1 defenseman has spent a lot of time with Mikhail Sergachev lately, but the Russian rearguard will now be joined by Nick Perbix on Friday. The 24-year-old rookie is also set for second power-play duty, so he could be an intriguing fantasy piece for Friday's slate.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
