Tyler O'Neill Sitting Wednesday
Tyler O'Neill (wrist) is out of the lineup Wednesday against Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez. Jeremiah Jackson will play right field in place of O'Neill and hit fifth. O'Neill is sitting out after leaving early on Tuesday with discomfort in his right wrist. X-rays came back negative after the game, but O'Neill is now wearing a soft brace on his wrist and is considered day-to-day, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. This has been a rough and injury-plagued season for O'Neill, who joined the Orioles in free agency after slugging 31 home runs for the Boston Red Sox in 2024. He has appeared in just 43 games and hit .210/.293/.434 with eight homers, 23 RBI, 20 runs scored, and two steals in 164 plate appearances.
