Tyler Anderson To Have Surgery Tuesday
6 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Tyler Anderson (knee) will undergo left knee surgery on Tuesday in Chicago to repair cartilage. The left-hander's timeline for a return is unknown, but it's a significant operation and he's unlikely to be back anytime soon. There's a good chance he might not make it back to the Rockies rotation at all in 2020, so he can be dropped in most redraft leagues if you were still holding out hope. Anderson was 0-3 with a brutal 11.76 ERA, 2.13 WHIP and 23 K's in 20 2/3 innings over five starts this season. He had walked 11 hitters and allowed eight long balls in his five starts. Anderson hasn't had an ERA under 4.00 since his rookie year in 2016.
