Jac Caglianone Homers in Rehab Game
Jac Caglianone went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run on Tuesday against Triple-A Columbus. Caglianone has been looking healthy during his rehab games, going 12-for-24 with three home runs and a stolen base in six games. The slugging first baseman will look to translate that success back to the major leagues when he returns. It's been a struggle for the 2024 sixth overall pick so far through 41 games, hitting .147/.205/.280 with five homers. Positively, the quality of contact has still been there with a 12.1% barrel rate and 41.4% hard-hit rate. He hasn't been totally overwhelmed with a 21.1% strikeout rate, and it seems to be a matter of time before he breaks out of the slump. He should be added in most standard leagues if he were dropped.
