The Minnesota Vikings have placed running back Ty Chandler (thumb) on the injured reserve list, meaning he will miss at least the next four games. The 24-year-old has been primarily a special teams player that has yet to play an offensive snap. His absence could prompt the team to consider signing a depth piece to their practice squad, but this will not impact starter Dalvin Cook or even his backup, Alexander Mattison. In a corresponding move, the team did elevate safety Theo Jackson from their practice squad to their 53-player roster. Chandler will be re-evaluated in four weeks to determine if he can return to action.--Josh Constantinou
